I dont know why Uche Mefor answered Asari this way. It s nothing but a difference in opinions. Asari is very much important in the Biafran struggle and so his opinions should be respected whether we agree with him or not.

At the end Nnamdi KANU will be the president of IPOB and Uche Motor will be his deputy. They are fighting for themselves not the interest of the zone. If they are fighting for the interest of their masses, they wouldn't have call for referendum in the first place, because most of the assets in the North and west are owned by the Igbos. That's to tell you that the Igbos are enjoying Nigeria more than any other tribe. Don't allow KANU to brainwash you people.

So what you are saying is that Igbos should forget their right to independence and freedom because of assets they own in other parts of Nigeria? What is the point of all the assets in the world if you are a slave? Kanu is not brainwashing anybody by asking for a referendum, that same referendum will give the Igbos the opportunity to stay in Nigeria if the love Nigeria so much

"One Nigeria" is not by force

Thanks for the matured response, but I think they will be more stronger if they remain under one Nigeria, taking the instance of Brexit(which iam sure you're familiar with) and aligning it to this particular scenario.

Scotland is stronger if it stays in Britain, but they demanded and got a referendum in 2014

Britain is much stronger if they stay in the EU, they voted in a referendum to leave the EU

Sometimes it's not about if where you are is stronger or better, sometimes it's about if you want to be there at all. People should be allowed to choose their destiny, wether its for the better or worse. The Igbo nation should be allowed to choose if they want to be part of Nigeria

I don't know about any tribe called South/South. The tribe I know about is Igbo and Igbo people are those who speak a common ancestral language of Igbo or a dialect of it, have Igbo surnames and practice Igbo culture. These are the people known as Igbos and they are found in:

Edo state- Igbanke people(Igbo Akiri)

Delta state- Ika, Ndokwa, Aboh, Oshimili(Anioma or Delta Igbos)

Rivers State - Omuma, Etche, Ikwerre(Rivers Igbos)

Benue- Umuezeokoha

Anambra- Ijekebes, Diokpa,

Enugu- Wawa, Nsukka, Edda

Ebonyi- Abakiliki, Izzi/Ezza, Afikpo, Ikwo

And many others

All these people AND communities listed above all have 3 things in common:

They speak Igbo as their language
They have Igbo surnames
The practice Igbo culture

All other names such as Anambra, Ebonyi, Imo, South East and South are just fabrications of the military. The map of Igbo land is below
