I believe you know the answer to this questions. If you can not speak German well why invite the German questions and conversation.
Only when your study is in German language then there is no escaping it, but for studies in English taught course. The VO will not be strict on your German language usage. Just know basic greetings and pronounce your destinations correctly

mexzony:
I want to ask a question. Say when I go for visa interview and the VO asks me if i cam speak German. Do I say yes that's if I can actually speak or simply say no. I am asking based on if I actually already know how to speak some German.am wondering if it will work in my favour if the VO knows I can speak German.i guess I am just trying to read their psychology.cheers.

I don't understand you oh.

If you can speak German, say yes, if you can't say No. Either way, you'll still be asked to say something in German especially if your course is in German but if your course is in English and you haven't learned, they still expect you to be able to say a little something in German because you'll be asked what steps you're taking in order to learn the language

This question really isn't a big deal! Concentrate more on the reasons you're going to give the VO when asked why you picked the course and the school and why Germany.

Good evening everyone. I want to apply to a University with a tuition fee of 1500 euro per semester. Do I need to pay more than 8640 into my block account and what are the special requirements by the German embassy if one is given admission in these tuition paying schools. Thanks for your anticipated and quick response

If you say you speak or understand German, you might be asked questions to prove it.If you are ready, why not.

I don't know why people keep complaining about nipost. My documents do get to the destination in time most time with unregistered post. Just stamps of N500 is what I use since this year.
But if afraid try DHL before deadline. My documents got to uni-assist in less than 15 days and to Düsseldorf in 12 days.

Mind you I post from Enugu state, their subway station. Other stations may not deliver that quickly

I submitted same place but mine is registered with tracking number.

That's true, because the other day I checked during the day and I saw a few dates, but my admission wasn't certain at the time, I checked last night and they said no available dates.

Well said, I see no reason why one that has not got admission should go ahead to secure appointment limiting the chances of those that really need it at the moment from getting it. Just imagine how pained you would feel having got admission and not being able to secure an appointment date. In all we do, let's do in love!

For those interested in a work placement / internship fellowship. pls quickly apply as fast as possible. it's a win-win for you, and a very good one.

Moreover for those looking at getting an opportunity to work in Germany from Nigeria, pls take a look at this. Your expenses are well catered for and you have the opportunity to get German work experience which will definitely lead to you working if you are very good.

Hope this helps.

I knew it must be funded. My question is does it have to be more than the normal funding i.e 8640 because I'm applying to a tuition paying school and are there any special requirements to be satisfied by the students

No, you are required to pay in the 8640 + bank charges which is dependent on the financial institution you choose to use. I think for fintiba it's 8829.

You will have to pay your tuition fees when you get to your school. They will tell you how to make payments for it. And moreover there is no special requirements from the embassy for this. The embassy is more or less interested in the 8640.

Hope this helps

Actually if you have more money to spare you can pay in more than that. That's amount is just the barest minimum for a student to be able to live in Germany for a year.if you have more then you can spend more in a month as long as it covers the basic 720€ average you need in a month

Good day guys.

Few days back, i took the advice of being online around 11:59pm till 12am to book a student visa appointment. Luckily, around 12:01, i saw a date for the 1st of February. I quickly tried to fill in my detail and book it. Going to the next page, i found it blank. I then refreshed and was told something went wrong to my booking that maybe my browser had been on too long. I went back to the captcha page and after filling it in, i was told all the appointments had been booked. Dissapointed, i left.

Few minutes later, i got an email from the embassy in German confirming my booking and appointment on the 1st of February and asking me to print out the email when coming that day. I am yet to receive any English version.

My question now is, do i actually have that appointment now since they sent me that mail. I am confused.

From experience.. You already got the date and booked BUT for 100% clearity, you can mail the embassy and confirm your date again

Ogui road after the police station if your documents is not a heavy parcel no need to allow them to weigh it. Just ask for #500 stamp and post straight to Germany. If they weigh it, they most find a reason to increase the price based on the weight.

They also have EMS services which is faster but expensive #12000
