Looks like your the one doing the scamming here to me, why sell funds from a bad source to the buyer? He don scope you collect his money back, next time you verify your sources before buying. You put yourself in this mess

Here is my account of the whole event, on the 4th of December, I requested for funds from the accuser in the person of , I always withdraw funds and seldomly buy fnf funds(due to the issue of stolen or unclean fnf funds) from him if he assures its from a good source. He brought the said $280 and sent to the receiving PayPal account which belongs to my sister, I sent money for the $280 to him because of trust and all. I was to meet up with a church program on this said day and got very busy till the next day.
I wokeup running late to attend a service and needed funds to pay up an eBay bid I won so I contacted him again for $300 but he was only able to get $283 for me, I chatted up my sis only to get her message that the previous $280 was refunded.
Then I messaged him to ask what's going on, he assured me he will get the funds back and then I was relieved that I will wait to get it back but till now I haven't gotten the refund and the guy he got the funds from is not responding or so, I have offered multiple solutions to how to get this resolved even giving him a higher rates of over 15naira more, also informed him will see what I can do by Monday but its so unfortunate this whole thing got to the point of labelling me a SCAMMER which not only is defamatory but derogatory.

My Questions therefore are?
1. Was I the one that brought the refunded funds?
2. Why tell me you got funds for 323 wen u got it 315?
3. I'm I supposed to pay for the money that was refunded?
4. Won't I come after you to get my $280 that was paid for?
5. How I'm I supposed to know you don't know the person that brought funds to you?
6. Who should we be after?
7. Who did I pay naira to?


So many questions to be asked but I will like the above to be answered first before we proceed

there are two ways to this type of case.

.1. It's his duty to confirm the payment first before authorising you to pay the seller

2. It's your responsibility to ensure you try as much as possible to supply him from reliable source.

You should go after that your guy and his source not coming here to taint an innocent person’s name. If you can’t find them count your losses, if you can’t count your losses you shouldn’t even be in business in the first place.

I'm really not happy this whole thing got to this because scammer that brought the refunded funds might even be on this forum and make it really difficult to track him as he would even be laughing at our disunity when we should be after him...

From the screenshot, I noticed you told him to send as fnf and I think fnf can't be refunded. If these are true, I think you have won the case to a greater extent . Unless if he can proof he sent as fnf and that fnf also can be refunded.

Nairadesign sent the money in naira and i expected him to have confirmed the fund, not knowing that he didnt even check the paypal. He just paid based on the screenshot he got. That is very wrong in the first place. You as an experienced exchanger should login to your paypal and confirm before you pay up your clients. I am just a middle man. I wasnt the one with the paypal account. The next day he requested for another $300 funds which i was able to source for $188, and $94 for him. He refused to pay up and said the $280 previous day was refunded. We decided to contact the guy that sold the $280 but his repsonse rate wad poor. I told nairadesigns that we should at least both settle the fiverr and upwork guys first before we now concentrate efforts to track the $280. This where i was telling him that he could have confirmed the payment before we paid the guy that supplied us funds.

I will like to address this also from a layman's perspective since you really want to thread this path also also be mindful of the English 'US' which should be 'ME'(you...).

They(wholesalers) supply You(Retailer) then you supply me after taking your commission to the Consumer(me)

If for any reason I have a complain, I go to the retailer.

This was he complaint when i told him that we can just shoulder the debts both of us have from the fiverr and upwork guys first. The fiverr guys transaction we did last was 88k. I tolf him to pay 44k , and i will also pay 44k at least to shoulder the debt together. Cos when we see profit , we share profit. And when loss came in. He wants to run. This is really bad and unfair. I mean why are human so wicked.But he is saying he is not financially bouyant for now. But after much say, he said That he will pay up on monday. But monday is too far considering the debts we have to pay up. I am also not financially bouyant now. Thats why we brought this matter to nairaland for people to see
