ICaSNg: I already got an offer at DBS for an MBA in project management. Just looking to see my opportunities afterwards. Due to my project management experience, I’ll like to diversify from my core (Electrical Engineering) and go a bit into management thats why i chose the MBA with an option in project management |

Segunagagu: Thanks, first of all I don't think I want to Pm anybody, I'm here to get a public opinion of naija peeps already in Dublin, Secondly, I don't just want to rush into any school or program because it's available, I need programs on the skill shortage, I think pharmaceuticals, nursing ( health related courses) engineering, IT etc. I was initially considering "pharmaceutical health technology" at Griffith but I was discouraged following the negative remarks about the school and its prospects on getting a job upon completion. I want to take my time since I have till September 2019.. Thanks @segunagagu for the advice on the PTE exam.. Heard about Trinity College Dublin, but I think it beats my budget .. Again, I intend settling in Dublin afterwards, I know it's not rosy over there, but I'm ready to face it, it's not any better here in naija either.. |

@GrasstoGrace. You said you don't want to pm anyone So you think people have all the time to come here always just bcoz they are trying to help those in need of help in someways? . I even try reaching out to your mail so I could help with some information you need. Because I am in Dublin and I am studying in NCI. I just wanted to help you but you obviously don't need one. You already sound like you know it all or you are to big to pm anyone here. Mind you I am not a guy i am a babe Incase. The person who ask you to go contact someone was only trying to help you out. Since you don't need one why not look elsewhere for information please. Thanks for your cooperation Thanks, first of all I don't think I want to Pm anybody, I'm here to get a public opinion of naija peeps already in Dublin, Secondly, I don't just want to rush into any school or program because it's available, I need programs on the skill shortage, I think pharmaceuticals, nursing ( health related courses) engineering, IT etc. I was initially considering "pharmaceutical health technology" at Griffith but I was discouraged following the negative remarks about the school and its prospects on getting a job upon completion. GrasstoGrace: I have not seen any particular bad review on Griffith. So far, Griffith has the highest number of Nigerian students in Ireland. Griffith also is one of the very few schools in the world to have ACCA platinum accreditation. |
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by GrasstoGrace: 9:21pm On Dec 08, 2018 |
CODEDBARREL:Peeps say most employers don't really consider certificates from Griffith, and I hear how difficult it is getting a job with its certificate, pls this is just based on speculations, I'm here to learn |

Hi to everyone and all the gurus in the house. (I might not be on the right thread to ask this question, please kindly re-direct me) I've been searching for accommodation for quite some time now...Next semester (starting 24th January 2019) I am supposed to go to Dublin City University for an exchange semester. I've really tried daft.ie, rent.ie, I'm almost running mad lol I can do shared flats, shared house, student halls, one-bedroom flat...Please any recommendations will help abeg |

Segunagagu: Given the difficulty in finding accommodation, I think it is better you secure one beforehand cause it is very likely that you stay in a hotel for WEEKS once you're there |

lander237: Check Griffith Hostels or send them an email. They have hostels and you could book for a short stay. Else, check booking.com to reserve temporary hostel for a week or 2 and you can sort the rest out on arrival. Cheers 1 Like |

The 3,000 euro requirement is only for students who did not require a visa to come to Ireland because their finances were already assessed at the Irish embassy in their home countries. ICaSNg: 2 Likes |

GrasstoGrace: In ranking, it ranks higher than DBS and many other schools in Ireland. Yet, no one has posted to say employers discrimate those certificates. I am not in Ireland though. |
