Hello, I apply at TLC Ikeja, I got mail that the processing will take 15 days and this has lapse. When I track my application, it still at the stage "Received by UKVI". What should I do because I want to spend money in the bank account submitted for application. Thanks |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by OmoBendel24: 10:22am On Dec 08, 2018 |
ab4m: What you should do? Okay, worry less, decision on your application will come soon, most likely within the week. Meanwhile, I’m wondering though, who asked you not to spend money from the account? Please do, and stop punishing yourself further! Their business with that account ended - at least temporarily - on the very last transaction as shown on the bank statement submitted.... It’s only in the case of a REFUSAL and there’s an urgent need to reapply that you then should worry about to spend the money/from the money or not. In essence, spend from it, but with sense, putting into consideration the calculation that your account needs to remain healthy for reapplication purposes just in case. Keep your account running as normal, spend from it, deposit to it, etc. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ab4m: 10:37am On Dec 08, 2018 |
OmoBendel24: Thanks for your suggestions, really appreciate. About the account, I was told that the money I will spend during the trip should remain in the account till decision made. That they use to call bank to confirm balance on the account. Did you mean I can empty the account without having any negative impact on their decision? Thanks |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by opomulero(m): 10:52am On Dec 08, 2018 |
Haba, why u go empty the account na,if u be ECO and you discovered that, judge by yourself wetin go happen.....i means you are trying to deceive them withdraw responsibly chikena ab4m: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by OmoBendel24: 1:30pm On Dec 08, 2018 |
ab4m: No negative impact if you are not having reason to reapply soon. But then, I have not said you should empty your account, you can though. Issue is if you do, and this your application is refused for instance on minor grounds, your current bank statement won’t be healthy enough for immediate reapplication, that’s the only worry. The ECO can’t discover jack any more than the last transaction on your submitted bank statement for this application, you have gone past that level, even if you want to reapply, if you have sound reason for the withdrawals you will do now you won’t have issues sef! Like I said earlier, it is in order to keep your account running normal (withdrawal and deposit) after submitting an application, it’s even healthier that way for future applications sef.... 1 Like |

OmoBendel24: That is misleading and not helpful. You can't withdraw money budgeted for the trip and still believe that nothing will happen. If the money is withdrawn then you don't qualify for visa no matter the reason for withdrawing that money. |

TashaStPatrik:In dis case, I addressed the reasons for denial in a letter which i called letter of explanation and make a fresh application with same documents with updated bank statement alongside the letter of explanation. Then in the place where they ask if you have been refused visa in the uk? I said yes and they requested for reason or details, in that column i wrote SEE LETTER OF EXPLANATION ENCLOSED FOR DETAIL. 1 Like |

justwise: Master, not to waste much time analyzing this sir, I will write here now and tell you authoritatively that I have lost count of the number of times I spent the money in my account while waiting for decision to be made, (it has never affected me since the early 2000's I'm talking of here), I just keep living my life, when visa comes out and I want to make use of it I will still get the money, sometimes readily available even before decision is made, I have never locked money in my account without spending from it because I have one visa application running somewhere. I don't know how it works for me and may not work for others, that's the reason I'm just being economical with advising people per this topic area. On some occassions, I drew the account to somewhere very low after printing bank statement, I mean even before application submission and nothing negative has ever happened to my application or that of my family members. I have even liquidated fixed investments after submission of application to no negative effect. I'm not saying others should do so on the strength of how it has worked for me anyways, but it works for me personally with; Schengen, UK, Canada, South Africa, Australia application experiences I mean... 3 Likes |

OmoBendel24: What you confessed here is fraudulent and misrepresentation practices, if you applied for visa and submitted bank statement cLaiming to have the money for the trip then withdraw the money after submitting you are lying about your condition. It’s only about time you get caught and ban for years |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Agbaletu: 5:51pm On Dec 08, 2018 |
OmoBendel24:\ I have to agree with you. My friend once applied for UK visa, but an urgent issue came up a week after submitting his application, he just withdrew almost half of the money and he still got the visa. He was just spending as usual. He has good inflow and outflow even before he applied for the visa. I think if one has more than enough for the trip, there is nothing wrong in touching the money in the account. 1 Like |

Hello team. I am not very good at writing/commenting but just thought i should share something that may be useful to visa applicants. Especially self employed entrepreneurs and business owners. Recently applied for a 2 years UK visa and it was approved. This is my 2nd visa. 1st was 2 years ago, applied for a 6 months visa and was approved as well. Used the exact same format i used for the first one. Documents submitted; CAC registeration documents with FIRS TIN number letter attached. 6 months bank statement with N1,300,000 balance (N1,000,000 out of that was transferred into my personal acc from my business account right before the application) 6 months pay slip (i pay myself N250,000 every month, even though it was not up to some months but that didn't matter) A board resolution with all directors signature explaining why the amount was approved for your trip and approving the money for the trip to be sent to your account. Board approval letter Leave letter Letter of Introduction. Hotel reservation Family pictures ( if you're not married, attach picture with your siblings or parents) Be sure to explain every large sum that comes into your account and provide evidence either using a contract, letter, personal receipt etc A budget of not more than N600,000 for your trip. Be precise when answering the question of what you would be doing in the UK. Do a research a d mention tourist attractions. I hope this would be helpful to someone. Cheers. 6 Likes 1 Share |

justwise: Am not a nairalander person...if you have submitted 6 month bank statement for an application for instance with a balance of 1.5m ...and same day u withdrew 700k twice leaving your balance to be 100k ...that doesn't geopardise your application for being approved.. embassy will only sent your statement in PDF or fax asking d bank to verify d geninunes of the statement and d balance, sometimes reference a particular transactions ..once bank can verify d statement and all the transactions in d pages jives ( inflows and outflows) with what is in the bank data base ...there response will be positive and that the statement was emanated from the bank ....they will not start responding that d balance has depleted by 1.4m....as long as same day balance still maintain same 1.5m before withdraw. To me this is not term as fradulent ...or misrepresentation so if you withdraw money after your Visa is issued what will you term this ?..as long as ur documents is verifiable..the onus is on you not to over stay your Visa bcoz this is damaging our reputation as country and it has adverse effect on other geniue visa application.. just my take! 5 Likes |

shenanigans:thank you for this. Pardon my ignorance, do you still need a board approval letter after board resolution? What is the difference? Can you please attach ur board approval, leaving out personal details. This will surely serve as a guide |

mex551: I think the difference between resolution and approval is one is mainly for office documentation while the other is for yours. Here is a format that can be followed. Be open to edit it. 17th February , 2018 Attn: “ your name" Dear Sir, RE: BOARD APPROVAL This is to inform you that at the meeting of board of directors held on 17th day February 2018 at “company address" . The board approved that the sum of “amount being transferred into your acc from businesss acc" to be given to you for vacation . This will cover all expenses during your trip. The above mentioned sum shall be transferred to your Guaranty Trust Bank Account number “your acc number" with account name “your name" …... . We wish you a safe trip. Enjoy Your Trip. Thank You.
