Guys... Please I need a quick advice and I will appreciate your contributions.. My mother invested in mutual benefit 2013 (I guess most of us around my family weren't enlighten by then)... In summary she was to pay 5k per month... She was only able to to 10months out of 60months... She tried terminating it but they said it wasn't adviceable.. Fowrad to today... We went last week and we were told that we will be sent a voucher of our payment... On seeing the voucher now.. What we had is 37k.. Please what kind of investment is this??.. Any help or advice... .. |

handsomebolanle: Maybe it was mutual funds which is invested mainly in stocks and not money market fund. I started out my kids fund with First Bank mutual funds. They never explained to me that it will majorly be invested in stocks. After contributing monthly consistently for several months and asked for my balance, i was shocked to be given a less than the amount i had contributed and on inquiry, i was told that the money was invested in their stock mutual fund and not money market fund and that it fluctuates based on the price of the stocks it was invested in. That was how i terminated it quickly and moved it to a kiddies savings account after augmenting the shortfall with my own money. 1 Like |

handsomebolanle: Your topic of discussion sound like what all these insurance company package for people ooo. I said so because mutual fund though encourage people to save and continue saving. It is mostly not tenured like the others. You can leave money there like the savings account.. Even though some invest in stock which is very volatile I don't think it would have gone down that way even if that what they invested... What is the company's name...? |

Insurance! When I never heard any news about treasury bill. Around 2014 I put in for Niger insurance with monthly payment of 20k for 2years. I made sure to pay monthly without missing it. When tenure end for me to collect my 120k. I saw hell. They were pushing me here and there. Going to their Anthony office every week. I've to showed them a little crazy drama I shouted and ready to involve police. Immediately they scheduled my file to those who were in queue to be paid for that week. Alhamdulillahi every thing went well. Later my hubby introduced me to Mutual benefit insurance that their own is better. Huuuuuuu, they are the same. Now my question is does anybody hear about axa mansard? I don't want to fall again o 1 Like |

handsomebolanle: You see what I said... Na insurance abi assurance company.. They will package nice lies to come and tell you to get money from you then when it's time to get your money back you will not get complete especially if you did not complete the tenure. Mutual fund I.e the one this thread is about is done in investment houses. You can be able to withdraw between 1-6 months with out any penalty on the accrued interest depending on the class/type you choose. Though the ones invest in stock has a very high risk, I do not think a 50k investment since 2013 would would still be down to 37k even after all the increase in share price at the beginning of 2018. 1 Like |

After 7 years my dad died we went to them to claim our policy but the no even reach 20k. Investment of over 15years if not more. cos the policy was bought when we were still children. 1 Like |

if I need money urgently for a short quick business how much will first bank pay me back from my capital if 9.6m if i liquidate less than 3weeks? any idea the total amount i will receive including capital? |

So Zenith bank says tbills is open only every 2 weeks time is this true for other banks? Their rate for 182 days is 13% does any bank currently offer a better rate Response please 1 Like |

Why can't other banks host their t.bills on a portal for investors to decide like Access Bank's tbill.ng site? 'Cos, you don't even need to visit any branch of Access Bank b4 you can invest in treasury bills which I found more convenient |

PraiseDLord:Sterling bank has mobile app: good rates, you can liquidate any time after 30 days and get paid almost instantly, their limitation is no upfront interest. Access bank has internet tbills: invalid rates and the system is not sending the otp token. Its better to do it over the counter. 1 Like |

Ibrahim505:Why wouldn't there be upfront interest in Sterling Bank? That's one of the major feature of T.bills now - upfront interest and if you want backend! |
