thebosstrevor:you mean Canada is trying to stop illegal immigrants from Nigeria, claiming asylum? how does that mean they are trying to stop Nigerians from migration ?. have you heard of Canadian express entry? Nigeria ranks second to china, among immigrants to Canada. i guess you should try it out. Nigerians are still migrating in droves 2 Likes |

I was referring to surviving on a job , you are referring to building a house in lekki Please we are not on the same page Overtime is necessary to earn more That is not a secret 1 Like |

thebosstrevor: A very big liar, people need to think before they post here, some are very ignorant Nigerians. I have looked at houses in that Lekki and they require a large amount money that a housekeeper in the us can not afford. Unlike here , back home does not really have mortgages and even if they do they’re loan duration is short compared to here. Even those earning six figures would not be able to afford it. 2 Likes |

sats: You are wrong , overtime is not necessary depending your wages and standard of living. I earn more than that guy , so overtime is not a NECESSAITY. Maybe for that guy it is. In life you want to work smarter, that’s why in the US , the Asians have way more finiancial success than us even though we are more educated. |

Re: Why Do Nigerians Think That They Can Only Make It Abroad? by Babyvet: 2:19pm On Dec 11, 2018 |
thebosstrevor: https://www.nigeriapropertycentre.com/for-sale/houses/semi-detached-duplexes/lagos/lekki/chevy-view-estate/337745-4-bedroom-semi-detached-duplex This on the lower price end for lekki houses, 65 million Naira which equals to about $179,101.82. Now I wonder how long it would take someone earning between $10 - $15 per hour, is going to save that up and still pay all their monthly bills. |

softandmoist: misdiagnosis is a world wide problem even gani was misdiagnosed in the US. YOU can get good healthcare if you want in nigeria. Nigeria has its problems which is created by its eitizens. Systems are run by humans and these humans in nigeria will destroy the system and run abroad for refuge. |

opebiboy: According to his thread, he started sometime in November but I don't think the op is being realistic with himself. He wants to save $120,000 by November 2020 and he earns about $16 per hour base pay. |

thebosstrevor: Those are the lucky ones self that worked for a good company. For others, they still have to work even in their later years. For my generation and downwards, we better save up for ourself because pensions are few and scarce theses days. I do feel that people back home retire much earlier than here in the U.S. |

Re: Why Do Nigerians Think That They Can Only Make It Abroad? by rs172(m): 2:57pm On Dec 11, 2018 |
thebosstrevor: So why should all Nigerians provide this when they elected their leaders? What is the usefulness of a government when they can't provide the basic things of life to their citizens? If you find answer to that, then you know why Nigerians believe in Abroad.. So comparing this sh!t hole nation to a nation that have it citizens at heart and provide a better environment for their citizen to develop. |
