The JW has quite a lot of false teachings but one that blows my mind is that God will not judge us by what we do on earth but by what we do on Judgement Day.

The scriptures they use to back up this false teaching are

1. Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

2. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Let's examine the first. A dead man certainly is lifeless in his dead body and sin therefore cannot dominate him. But what message is Apostle Paul trying to pass across here. He wants us to see ourselves as those who were dead with Christ and rose again. So, sin should not have dominion over us. He is not saying that the moment you die, you have been discharged of every form of guilt and condemnation for the sins you commit. Even an insane man knows this is a fat lie. So, if I kill someone, I will not be judged by it after death. This is about the most stupid doctrine ever heard. If it's true, it's a sure license to sin and the world will be full of wickedness.

The second Scripture says that one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. But the JW reads it this way - One day is a thousand years and a thousand years is one day. This is not what the verse is saying. This is the use of simile. It does not say one thing is the other but uses the word as or like to compare two things.

No sane human should remain in this deceitful organization unless you have been slain from the foundation of the world. Save yourself from these false religious groups and embrace the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

U read those verses & what it says is straight forward but because it doesn't sit well with U , U had to twist it out of context , to attack JWs.

Jws have a lot of false doctrine. But it's OK for they are a false religion organization, with 100 percent failure rate in false prophecies.

They are already suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Jude 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, SUFFERING the vengeance of eternal fire.

Note the word suffering. It's a present continuous term. He did not say suffered which is past tense. It did not also say will suffer which is future tense.

Their body was burned but their souls are burning in hell until the final judgment day when they will be thrown into the lake of fire.

That heaven is on earth but failed to tell us where God is located.

Imagine that you borrowed money from the bank with your house as collateral against the full loan. Now if you are are unable to pay back the loan and the bank takes possession of your house in exchange for the full value if the loan as agreed, would it be wrong to say that you are now free of that debt?

That is how it is with humans. Sin has put us in a huge debt that we cannot possibly repay unless by our very own lives. That is why the Bible says that the wages of sin is death. When you sin as indeed all men have, then the outcome is death. So, at death the debt brought through sin is fully paid.

But in order for us to have everlasting life someone else have to pay the debt of sin for us which Jesus has done for all humans that chose to exercise faith in him. And we cannot claim to exercise faith in Jesus' ransom sacrifice without making meaningful adjustments to our way of life to be in harmony with the guide lines set by Jesus.

So yes, when we die we are freed from sin as the debt is fully repaid with our lives. But to live one must exercise faith in Jesus ransom sacrifice.
