basitd: Appointment dates are more or less of a scarce commodity. The consulate will advise you cancel within a specified time listed on your letter. And you are not guaranteed of a choice date as well as another appointment. What you can probably do is to get an enrollment deadline extension from your school so that you will be able to meet up with the time specified for student visa processing. Hope this helps. |

Tunermania: The school you are applying to will most likely tell you how they want their documents to be certified. But if not specific, then it's most likely to be done at the high court. Take along with you originals of your document for sighting together with photocopies of the documents you intend to certify. Certification is done at the state and federal high court, notary public, German consulate or embassy. |

mexzony: It all depends on the school. Different strokes for different persons. Different schools with different policies. Just be patient and prayerful. God will make it happen for you. Hope you applied to several other schools as well. All the very best. |

I honestly didn't expect this, I'm humbled. I've learned a lot these few days I've been here, made friends I'll always remember, I've had people answer questions even when they didn't haven't to. So, the little I can do is share, we will all get to our goals. Eldeee: 5 Likes |

willsc: When you get to Germany, you have to unblock your account so you can have access to your monthly stipend. The money in the blocked account is not meant to stay blocked forever. You need it for your upkeep in Germany, that's why you're blocking it in the first place |

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Matt358: 5:27am On Dec 13, 2018 |
THE blocked account is opened through the german embassy....and you gaz deposit 8000euro(3.3m) inside....it is monitored o....everytime by the embassy and withdrawal of anythin above 600 euro per month is not guaranteed....so german blocked account is not what you will have to borrow money for them to see you have the money....it has to be there. That was in 2012,please can someone tell me if I can still get the block account just to get the visa and later return it back? 2. I'm i paying for the tuition fee before leaving Nigeria? |

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by happystep(m): 7:36am On Dec 13, 2018 |
If you know who to borrow from do it. However, be ready to work hard and support yourself. You can be paying the person back by instalments as you withdraw your monthly limit. Explain to the person how long it might take you to pay back, if not possible in one instalment. Spread it over the period of your stay in Germany. Many have done, still doing it. Make sure to discuss with the donors the currency of payback. Exchange rate may differ over time like what happened in 2015 and the person suddenly would demand euros not the naira he gave you. Be wise even as you go begging . Not all the schools pay tuition fees but you will pay semester dues while registering. Choice of school matters we shall overcome never give up Matt358: 3 Likes |
