Malnutrition? Honestly I don't understand. She feeds very well before this episode. When the vomiting and stooling started, we. commenced treatment but not in the hospital, but through a health professional though she is not a paediatrician. (Guess that is mistake number 1). Then mistake number 2 is looking towards the traditional medicine. Why we even contemplated that was because the older brother had an experience when he was little and the traditional medicine option helped him. So we thought it might do the same for the little sister.
The nurses said the same thing about her being on the way to recovery, but I still feel she looks a weak. Though she has started feeding well. I noticed she has cough which the hospital has already commenced treatment.
Should I just wait it out, or is there something we could do about her weakness?

claseek you should always have Olbas oil or silverbird at home, Just put a few drops near her head to clear her nose. It works wonders for night congestion

I am very sorry to bother you again. I am begging you all to help my husband go through the surgery which is to be done on Monday next week.

He went through appendicitis operation and now he is to go through hernia surgery on Monday.

I have been through hell from hospital bills and tired, so i call for help.

Same thing i thought of but it's possible they are not and just issued their church's marriage certificate as against the one by the federal rep. of Nigeria.

Im also thinking that if the church is actually licensed, maybe they submit copies of issued certificates on behalf of the wedded couples each month.


In the Anglican church, a pre-requisite is to get the license first before the church will go ahead with the wedding. If you mistakenly collect certificate peken in my diocese, na church blessing dem go do for person.

Yes u need the license first from the LG closest to the Church u r wedding before the wedding is conducted. That's when the 21 days notice would be put up before the license is given to you. Some churches do not wed in all their dioces/regions/branch, they have specific branches that has been licensed to carry out weddings eg the zonal/regional branches.etc My cHurch only gave me one copy of the marriage certificate self. When I asked for the second copy, they told me they would help me forward it to the LG themselves.

You can go for Gerber foods with supported sitter written on it and cow, gate cereal from 4+ months and kendamil foods too from 4 months. You can also make pap very light too with age appropriate formulae to go with.

You can only have one marriage certificate issued to you.

In addition to what b.arag wrote, confirm from your church if they are licensed but from the look of things, they aren't.

Visit the marriage registry in nearest local govt to you and make enquires about the latest requirement.

Vomiting is no longer there, stooling is still there but not so watery anymore but there is this infrequent fever that comes and go.
I ran a test when she was admitted and result came back malaria ++ and she is teething. After some days of treatment i did another test, malaria not significantly seen. But there is the fever and not so strong stool. In my eyes she looks weak, and no longer cries her lungs out like before.
I must add that I tried local treatment just for 24hrs before reverting back to Orthodox and am not willing to go that route again.
Please help my baby.

Is the baby still on zinc or any multivitamin,it helps with the recovery aspect.Some stomach issues takes up to two weeks to resolve.Just try to feed baby well.
If still stooling, keep her on ors.

If you give NAN, with feeding bottle,the child might have chosen the nipple she likes. Keep on expressing.

Also when you submit you don't collect anything again, just submit and go. The church was supposed to give you 2 copies. 1 for yourself and 1 for the registry.

Keep her well hydrated too. Thank God she's eating well already.

Good afternoon mamas.

Just want to share my first panicking experience as a mother

We went for our 10weeks immunization on Wednesday and I gave her pcm thereafter. She was playing and active as usual only for her to cough out from sleep before midnight.

I carried her up; the cough was so intense as if she had it before , she was choking. it looked as if something was blocking her throat and was trying to throw up but she couldn't. She wasn't breathing freely because her nose appeared blocked. She was bringing out thick and drawing saliva. after robbing her chest and back, the cough stopped and she slept and I lay her down.

After few minutes, it started again and I used warm water to press her head, nose and ribs. Use Shea butter to rob her nose and body; mixed Shea butter with silver bird and apply on her forehead. She appeared fine and and slept.

For the third time after some minutes the cough started again . This time around her head was no longer stable, she was closing her eyes and the thick/drawing saliva keeps pouring. I was gonna pass out seeing my dd like that. Time check was pass 12 a.m. and I told Dh that we should take her to the hospital.

She slept off/soundly through the drive to the hospital. There was no pediatrician on duty so we were seen by a general practitioner. We explained how it started and he assured us there was no problem. He prescribed Erdoncef and Obifen.

Though the cough and catarrh is not completely cleared, we're making progress.
