He was proven to an extent when he arrived at Chelsea. Dude was a confirmed champions League player and he didn't arrived Stamford bridge on the cheap but still wasn't trusted enough to have decent playing time. The key things with managers and their decisions is trust.

This I totally agree with. Maybe two or three years down the line he may be as good as them, but as at now he isn't, and let us not act as if it is written in stone, Denis was regarded as a better talent during his time at Villareal, went to Barca and went straight to the bench, not as good as required. So he may or may not make it that far, we all pray that he makes it that far but saying he will bench Dembouz, Cout and Malcom this particular season or even the next is so not true. The dynamics while playing for Barca is entirely different. Emphasis is on possession football, he will need to unlearn a lot of things and learn all over again before he can challenge for a starting spot, that is just my entire point.
