Lordofthewest:
The approach this jimi agbaje is using is just making him look like a fool, he should be focusing on what he intends to do for Lagos rather than making it about tinubu. If the people see that you mean well and your intentions are genuine you will get votes instead he's going about stoking up ethnic politics and crying tinubu this tinubu that..he's playing politics foolishly with sentiments like our flatheaded brethren from the east always do and not as a proper Omoluabi.
As expected you must find a way to insult Igbos.
Hating igbos can only shorten your lifespan. It will never make your life better than it is now. Watch around you and you will see that the Igbo man is enjoying a more quality life than you.
APC/Tinubu can remain your God forever; it doesn't affect the destiny of an Igbo man.

“We identify with our vulcanisers, tailors and all craftsmen who have the joy of duly-earned freedom after their apprenticeship” really, what is so great about this statement?
namio10:
Agbaje said, “We identify with our vulcanisers, tailors and all craftsmen who have the joy of duly-earned freedom after their apprenticeship."

This is real grassroots political talk, the sort of talk one can hear only from American and European politicians who know they are vying for elective political position for the interest of the masses.
Unfortunately, this man seems to be ahead of Nigeria's brand of politics.

Tinubu insulted the poor masses in his reference to vilcanizers, tailors..

I dey laugh o.....Something that a whole OBJ couldn't solve in his two term in office, neither Yar dua nor Goodluck Jonathan could solve as ruling party o.We all know the reason why it was close then was because PDP were the ruling Party! Na now wey Jagaban dey control things as ruling party u wan win mumu dey worry this one well.... grin grin grin

But remember Agabje is the enemy within and that is very deadly, unlike OBJ, YARADUA & JONATHAN you mentioned who are clear outsider in their own right. Remember the last time he came so close to victory almost upsetting the game plan before OBA began to lace a certain group of people with a humongous curse when defeat to the ruling party was becoming very glaring. Nothing is impossible in lasgidi, just a little alignment and realignment with the right block can lead to a major upset.

Surely, one day his grip on Lagos will expire.

You guys don't understand Tinubu's politics. And for your information, Tinubu will not fall because he's a good listener and he doesn't take decisions on his own.

Agbaje and those waiting for Tinubu's downfall, may have to wait for a long time.

This is your time and a great opportunity for Lagosians to be liberated from the shackles of the greedy and selfish APC slave masters who have insatiable appetite to kill the masses with heavy tax burden, grab their lands & properties with devilish "Acquisition" edicts and nothing to show for it in terms of improvement in the lives of the people.

This is our time to breathe some fresh air and revenge against the APC looters who have cornered Lagos for almost 20 years.

Who are your people, or your Igbos people ? Go and sit down , Tinubu did not stop your voters not to vote for you and if you think that the vote from those minority foreigners from Biafaud can make you as governor, you will till heaven come. Agbaje need to learn about Lagos politics and we Lagosians know what we want.

Adeitanajoke:

The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, has responded to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who mocked him for adopting the ‘freedom’ slogan for his 2019 aspiration.

Tinubu had, while addressing members of the All Progressives Congress on Monday, said, “Those who said they want freedom should go and learn tailoring and vulcanising and we will do freedom for them later.”

However, in a statement on Tuesday, Agbaje likened Tinubu to the biblical Pharaoh of Egypt who refused to allow the children of Israel to leave but kept them in bondage until God sent down 10 plagues that forced Pharaoh’s hand.

“Pharaoh, you must let our people go!” Agbaje said.

“Apparently, the APC leader has lost touch with reality,” Agbaje said in a press statement by his Director of Media and Publicity, Felix Oboagwina.

“Otherwise, he would know that, like the children of Israel, Lagosians are groaning under the taskmaster that Tinubu and his cronies have turned themselves into in this state that should rate as Nigeria’s foremost,” he added.

Recalling that the biblical Pharaoh finally granted liberty to the Israelites only after several vicious plagues, Agbaje said, Lagosians would be liberated after the people might have delivered an electoral disgrace to the APC in 2019.

He also said that his campaign slogan mirrored the same spirit that moved Nelson Mandela to declare his long walk to freedom in an apartheid South Africa.

Agbaje said, “We identify with our vulcanisers, tailors and all craftsmen who have the joy of duly-earned freedom after their apprenticeship.

“But it is apparent that, unlike them, those who have gotten used to filthy lucre and the dividends of corruption cannot savour the joy that comes with the legitimate sweat and labour of hardworking artisans.”

He argued that Lagos State must be freed from the era of nepotism and corruption that saw a private firm maintaining a stranglehold on the state’s funds, contrary to global best practices.

Western folks in Nigeria are too politically blind to turn back at their slave master, Tinubu.

He has not done anything that will cause them to turn their back . Youruba employ wisdom of foresight and hindsight in what they do. Have you seen them complaining. They have turned their back against OBJ, but Asiwaju still command followership .

The biggest mistake Agbaje just made with this statement is the religious analogy he just made to describe Tinubu. Doesn't he know that there are more Muslims voters than Christian voters in Lagos? He may have just swung all their votes in favour of APC in Lagos.

Be strong and courageous Agbaje
APC will fall in Lagos,I don’t know how.
With Ambode’s commissioner resigning and decamping to PDP ,more shocking news are coming.

PDP doesn't have any formula to take Lagos from Tinubu. IMO was taken from Iwuayanwun easily he should come to Tinubu for tutoring and mentoring in the art of politics.

Agbaje, Tinubu is already diverting ur attention already. Are you contesting against Tinubu?

If you can't beat them join them.

That's just the little advice I av for Agbaje.
Join them? perhaps you don't know their history. Agbaje was Tinubu's boy in ACN until Tinubu nominated fashola for governor and told agbaje not to run. That was when Jimi left their party and joined pdp to contest the governorship race. He kept running and kept losing. Agbaje's sin is that he refused to comply and worship the jagaban like everyone else. Imagine a sitting governor getting unseated even before election as is the case of Ambode. As far as Lagos is concerned, Tinubu owns the place

Jimi I am so sorry to say this.... Your campaign strategies is zero...

Are you campaigning against Tinubu or Sanwo olu?

Nothing last forever.. Another party will produce a governor in Lagos... But not in 2019 or 2023....

My vote is for Sanwo olu.....
