For me, we will need to get a very solid defender that can improve the other defenders in the team. But a pivot midfielder will be my first buy. Someone solid on the ball and has good passing quality. Then play him with Fred and Pogba. These ones are too adventurous to play pivot. Then Martial Sanchez and Lingard up front with Rashford, Mata, Herrera, Matic and Lukaku coming on later in the match

At least, not for £95m. Btw, Bailly was supposed to be that solid defender. Herrera can hold that position for now. Sanchez should play on the right and stop hindering Martial abeg, while Rashford strikes. No offense to Lukaku but I think he should transfer-list himself.

Jose Mourinho's treatment of Paul Pogba was one of the main reasons Woodward has decided to act.

It was clear Pogba would have left in January or caused a huge problem in the dressing room if no club bought him.

We did absolutely well without Pogba against Arsenal and some matches even back to last season. However, it would have been disastrous to see Pogba go to another club to flourish while Mourinho's United still struggle. It would then mean the next manager will have no star player to start with.

Mourinho not playing Pogba against Liverpool meant he wanted Pogba out, and the club cannot afford to lose Pogba now.
