Nigeria has fallen apart.
Are you surprised?

Buhari's Nigeria is a total failed state. Nothing in this country works anymore.

There's not a single achievement we can point to and celebrate. Nothing!

A country were a former Chief of Defence Staff can be assassinated like a common fowl.

Badeh as a former CAS and CDS had his many, many failings, however his murder shows the achievements of the APC in the last 3 years.

The only thing we can celebrate in the last 3 years is Proforce defence MRAPs. Such a shame!

From one of the world's fastest growing economies to this.

The only thing YOU celebrated not WE.

I wonder if you guys remember the sins of Alex Badeh.

The same Chief of defence staff that was accumulating the salaries of dead soldiers, or the 1 buying 3 used and unserviceable mi24 for over $130 million and still had to remove parts from our old mi24 helicopters before the could work.

I still believe that guy might have been killed by angry soldiers.

Are you seeing the general state of insecurity in this country or are you just oblivious to that?

Was Badeh not charged to court? Or are you also oblivious to that?

Except we want to lie to ourselves.

Boko Haram is better handled by this govt. than the previous govt. I can't remember Boko Haram moving freely with tanks, IFV, etc. Don't even let us talk about the territories they control and caliphates they declared. Even night activities have resume in most parts of the affected areas.

Herdsmen crisis have always been there long before now. The only thing that changed was the attention given to the crisis by media houses during Buhari's tenure. I can convenient tell you the benue, Nasarawa, etc have witnessed serious reduction in this conflict. Non have even been heard of in recent times.

Bandit have always been in Zamfara and this govt is the first to give serious attention to this issue.

Generally, security of life and properties received better attention now than before. If other had given this same treatment, am sure the crisis wouldn't have been this bad.

I've already said all I have to say about the Tutsis and their depredations:let me just leave this here.

Why has Rwanda closed 8,000 Christian churches?
https://www.christiantoday.com/article/why-has-rwanda-closed-8000-christian-churches/130243.htm

Ofc,there's an official reason:
The Anglican Bishop of Kigali, Louis Muvunyi, told Christian Today the churches that had been closed were those 'found to be lacking basic infrastructure such as poor hygiene, lack of lavatories, lack of water harvesting system, poor building safety standards'.

He said many churches were operating without licences and were functioning in residential areas of Kigali without soundproofing or parking space.

And he banned mosques from using loudspeakers.

Rwanda has banned mosques in the capital, Kigali, from using loudspeakers during the call to prayer.

They say the calls, made five times a day, have been disturbing residents of the Nyarugenge district, home to the capital's biggest mosques.

This comment shows you either did not watch the video or you chose to watch it with a biased mind. This video really changed my perspective about that incident and about Military claims in general.

The military clearly shot first, with intent to kill and moreso indiscriminately. They were not provoked in any way.

I have to start re-evaluating everything I think I know about our system in this country.

We really need more of such reporting.

Bro, Nigerians violate the principles of a classical protest...how can people claim to be protesting and u see them with cutlasses, bottles catapult and the rest...intact I think most of those who join in the protest are the petty criminals trying to feel important
The times the military have done killings like this is mostly against IPOB and Shia, which brings me to the conclusion that theses organizations are trouble makers in the sense they go to attack the security agents
Haven't u been watching news where Shai members damages police vehicles, now pls how is that a peaceful protest.
In recent times, when Kaduna was in conflict after the killing of a King, the military and both the armed protesters exercised maturity , the civilians where armed but never threw anything or injured any security agents, and the military vice versa did not interfere even as the protesters where even chatting war songs whilst armed with cutlassesetc...

Protesting civilians with spikes made from nails. Throwing stones at soldiers and civilians going about there normal day to day business, destroying there vehicles windscreens.

Throwing of stones can kill, the soldiers have noright to shoot sporadically, however they have right to attack back, specifically at those who are being a threat to their lives ..
And like it or not, I know the soldiers AVE em a warning shot but the stubborn crowd refuse to stop the offensive
Is it not Trump who told security forces at Mexican border to shoot back at those Mexicans throwing stones on soldier.
So why should Nigeria's case be different....oh it because we are Nigerians...

Not surprised anymore, no not any longer. In fact I won't even be surprised if Chad enters Nigeria and annexes a part of its territory and nothing will happen because the incompetence of Buhari smacks to high heavens and the insult on our collective intelligence is him seeking a 2nd term. An insult of the highest order.

A four star General and former Chief of Defence Staff(CDS) and his aides killed in broad daylight like chicken doesn't happen except in a failed state. A Major General vanished only weeks ago to be recovered from a pond tells you to run for it. There's no longer a State in existence except on paper. Look at us deluding ourselves to destruction under a man called Buhari who is lifeless for lack of any other word but Trumps description of the man which any sane human being should see except of course in Nigeria because of ethnic and religious backwards. How can a lifeless man save the living?

Now more than ever I understand why the Babangida administration who were his kitchen cabinet at the time banded together to boot him out of office. Such an inflexible, ascetic and religious nomad who is the very epitome of bigmanism destroying Nigeria.

That Nigerian Military Uniform is symbolic of the State itself and when its Generals are no longer safe then the State has collapsed. The nomadic head in Aso Rock will destroy us all except we boot him out and fast.

It's a sad day. Every day under this man is a bitter regret. Let's not talk of Proforce please, it is not even a creation of this administration. Buhari is zero. Nothing.

And so what if he committed sins? Don't you commit sins? Why do we have the Justice System. Ah I forgot because under Buhari the rule of law is non-existent. Keep on playing to the gallery until you have a civil war on your hands. Incompetence is staring you right in the face and you are here reminding us of a dead mans sins.

Are we now a jungle republic? Where the executive arm of government locks up people at will and won't respect court judgments in the name of fighting corruption that they themselves today are the worst offenders. Wait let another government come into power then you find your beloved Burutai is also full of sleaze. We have their files...you will be shocked Badeh is a saint. World over Generals are always caught in one corruption or the other in times of conflict.

That man was charged to court and under the laws of the land he is innocent until proven guilty. The process should have run its course so we are not seen as primates in the jungle. Clearly that man wasn't adequately protected. You don't reward officers and men with indignity and yet complain of low morale in your armed forces.

And let's quit with all the propaganda of the day, tired of it, everyone knows the truth. Yes they stole but they had the initiative against boko haram with the six-week offensive which recovered all of those LGAs like Baga etc that Buhari came in to claim he recovered. No, he didn't. With all the noise of arming our troops they claimed Jonathan and Badeh didn't do which is a lie, Boko haram now has freedom of action and attacks at a time and place of its choosing.

The recent purchase of assets for the air force (most yet to be delivered) has nothing to do with Buhari or the present military leadership. All you see fall under the projection purchases of the armed forces which is a continuous entity. They have a short, medium, long term contingency plans and depending on exigencies and the government in power they purchase what's necessary. So before Air Chief Marshall Peterin till date they are following a well rehearsed plan.

Let us call a spade a spade and quit all this finger pointing, it has changed nothing and won't either.

Indeed you are right. We all wanted anything but Jonathan because of the open stealing but that man put food on the table and relative security. Today no food, no security and in fact soon no nation.

I for one sincerely regret my support for Buhari and sincerely apologize to the Nigerian people. I sincerely thought we would have our first Mandela. No but a tyrant and religious bigot who history will never forgive.

This is a Buhari government that seeks strategic military relationship with Saudi Arabia. Who does that?
A Saudi Arabia except for its defence by America and client states as small as Senegal and Sudan will be speaking Farsi by now under Iranian tutelage.

That shows you the primordial sentiments pervasive in this administration that allowed thousands of it's own citizens to be slaughtered like chickens by Fulani herdsman and their sponsors on a land conquest who also brazenly go on live television to brag about it and nothing is done to them but Deji Adeyanju is put in jail for exercising his rights to free speech devoid of killing any human. Only a nepotistic, narcissistic and nomadic government would do that. Anyone who cannot see the light is guilty of the same crimes.

Frankly being a Nigerian is nauseating in these times.

About herders crisis: while it's new to most Nigerians, those of us from middle belt grew up hearing stories, some of us even had first hand experience with them (I am not among grin) Weirdly though, while they are now rampant in Southern States, apart from benue, they've been quiet here, maybe because they have integrated with some communities? They even have what we call ruga (settlement) here. A visit is a sure way of getting a live chicken, don't look at their women too much though, their cutlass is very sharp grin

And the way Nigerians use the "bigot, bigotry" nowadays, it's almost as if we've discovered a new vocabulary grin.
