I was just wagering a theory.

I think majority of them are Zimbwabweans - and I know lots of somalis & ethiopeans - are trafficked through kenya - to South Africa - these are people who end up in poverty & slums. I know Nigeria are living like sewer rats there too (and probably having them for dinner ) - 10-15 in a one bed house - and those are part of the 13m poor. There are probably a few kenyans in the mix but I think they are very tiny majority.

And that probably explain why welfare system aint working - coz they are mostly illegal people who cannot get gov cheques or food stamps - and end up creating slums & criminal dens.

The solution is for South Africa to take drastic actions against illegals - and deport them back home or in refugee camps.
