Picked up my passsport today 18/12/2018 and got France (Sheghen) visa with my wife and two kids. My wife’s younger sister living with us was refused though. I really want to thank the house as the lead posts helped my application. Please help interprete the attached slip on the visa. I just wanted to spend the Christmas holiday with my family in Paris.

I think they want you to report at the embassy on the stated date when you're back.

Don’t forget to add a cover letter explaining the reason for your travel and all the places you would visit in each of the days. Sure it will fly.

I'm concerned on your bank account closing balance. 800k seems too small. Can you round it up to like 1.5

Lolz! Leave them, I’m just looking at most of them and smiling. Yes, it is good to have good balance in one’s account most definitely, but Bank account balance is only part of the considerations, it’s in fact a subset of the account statement submitted and your general financial standing. Several other factors speak for an application, several.

“Justification of purpose” did you in the first time most likely. Am I right? Okay then. Everything looks good from a surface view though.

This time around; Sit down, relax, research, and come up with a jotting of an itinerary, travel plan, places to see, transportation plan (all the way from the airport on arrival and back to the airport for departure within your location and all you want to do in it too), feeding, maybe shopping, costs and all for the days you will be in France. Let these make sense and spark something interesting in you first.

Move on to pen it in a most interesting and exciting way, submit alongside your application, you should get your visa. Regards

Thank you so much. We will draw a good itinerary for the trip.

Again, which schengen country do you think we should apply for?

France has been and will always remain my first choice. You can easily see Germany and the Netherlands from there via train (these will to a great extent likely open Canada and the US to you too).

Meanwhile, if at all you plan making a trip to the UK soon and visiting France alongside, just get your ticket to the UK paid for and plan your France trip from the UK, train ticket or flight ticket to and fro (either reserved or outrightly paid for) will absolutely do the balance magic.

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Fekeri: 8:21am On Dec 24, 2018
We are now in Paris for the Christmas holiday. Two questions I tackled at the port of entry in Amsterdam.... I filled I was going to use Ethiopia airline so would enter Paris directly and not through another shenghen country while applying and I also change the hotel haven gotten the visa. But while issuing the visa the authority added the hotel I used as family member or inviting person so the changes raised question since I told the officer that I have no family member in France. They needed to search thoroughly and my answer was satisfactory. Just in case for other intending to apply. Be guided.
Now who’s in Paris city centre? Let’s party!!!

You are amazing. Thank you very much
I plan visiting the UK after a schengen country. But I will be the only one doing that. My girl friend will have to return cus of work.

What's her chances on getting the schengen visa? Is it possible we link the two applications.
To be honest, I don't want to apply for France cus of my first refusal but since I have a valid UK visa I feel it's a good option.

.....

Your France visa application refusal will always be a part of the consideration of your application to any other schengen country no doubt.

Spain and Italy visa application can be another tiring experience. However, whichever other embassy you know and believe your travel plans will sync better with, go ahead.

Your girlfriend, did you both do UAE together same time? If yes, that’s an advantage now, don’t even think twice, apply together. You both look good to apply together either ways though, just justify the trip’s purpose convincingly. Cheers

On the application form, you will be required to state if you are visiting other schengen member countries. Just click yes and select those other countries you intend to visit.
