The US unlike many others have been very generous with their fees and visas over the years, sadly we can no longer have this as we flout every of their regulation. And honestly i don't blame them at al. The Other fraction of Nigerians who keep(s) their visa rules are not spared at this time too.

my last renewal took 3 workings days, infact i got a call to pick up, i am here with heart attack over my passport cos i am about to loose the ticket to my first trip elsewhere this weekend and i submitted to renew since 26th November to visit in Jan.

My "bow-tie" brother, don't expect the trend to improve just yet at all! How on earth? My mind is prepped for the worst in all fairness, it would be stupid of them genuinely not to some extent tighten the noose na.... Things may take up to even a year from now to improve in this regard, but I even doubt that. The elections, the economy and the uncertainty that fills the air can never favor visa pursuit by Nigerians at the moment at all.

I have never used my visa wrongly, haven't gone inside that embassy for interview since my first US visa was issued, I have renewed thrice via Dropbox and yet I'm discomforted by these events, then I wonder how it is in the heart of many. On a good day, if not for one's job and that if relocation was on my plate, I would have 'jejelly' just move now, out of Naija. I however passed through the worries of the 2015 elections, and saw how everywhere became calm thereafter in a far departure from our fears and worries. So, I believe an almighty formula by the elite class will balance this one out too.... They can't afford to rock the boat dumbly!

I picked up my passport today and No new visa was issued. This is the second time i am trying to renew my visa. I was given a White form to reschedule interview under 221g category witht he first box ticked and I should print another copy of ds-160 form. The only thing I have is the confirmation page. I do not have saved copies of ds-160 form. What do I do in a situation like this?

Do you have a travel history? Preferably to a first world country.
These are the questions you need to ask yourself. But above all, rhe decision still lies with the VO.

1. There is no contraindication to booking an earljer appointment. Available dates are probably 6 months away anyway except you are lucky to get an earlier date. However note that if given a 2 year visa, its usually starts counting on the day if your interview.

2. Its better to stick to rules. Pay, fill your form, book your interview

I av bin denied once...I registered my passport as single....am now planning to reapply with same passport as married, since am applying with my wife n kid.

my question z do I have a chance since av not traveled before, I only av a stamp of Benin republic on my passport.. if asked whether av travelled before... can I say yes DAT av gone to Benin republic... or I shud just say no since its a neighboring country.

my salary z five digits...must I go with statement DAT shows my salary... or I can present another statements DAT has my name and prove strong financial activities

I actually applied for a family visa package, I filled out mine, my sister’s ds 160 and my mum.. The mistake here is this, I have used the three ds 160 to apply for visa under my own visa page portal which I have used twice before in the past.

The problem here is that I later got to know that I made a lot of errors on all of our ds 160 I filled and have been added to my visa application portal.. I want to remove the ds 160 and add the new ds 160 I just filled correctly and moreover, I used my email for them but just created their email, I wanna remove my email from their booking and use theirs.

Is there a way I can remove them former ds 160 and add the new ones there (I have tried but it ain’t going), do I have to create their own visa appointment page separately or the one I booked in mine can’t be used by the three of us ?... please I really need help on how to remove the former ds 160 and add a new one there ASAP cos the interview date is January 7.. thanks

Create a profile for each of them and fill in the new DS160 number on each profile. It will automatically be changed in your own profile. Then reprint your Appointment Confirmation page and the DS160 confirmation page for each of you too. Regards

You are very much likely not doing it correctly. Use their own email, name, passport number and details to create a profile for each of them.

Well, if that isn’t working for you, call their customer care number. You can actually source that from posts from the last few days....

Benin is outside Nigeria, so yes you have to state it otherwise you may be seen as misrepresenting facts. However, in reality i doubt it is one of those countries they are interested in. Please make sure you present all your statements as long as you provide and can defend your source of income. All the best

Too late! You can't see what he filled out for them except he saved the applications before he submitted. Your sister and mom are only going with the confirmation and appointment.

If you have submitted your DS 160 form, it doesn't expire since you submitted, just have the confirmation number as you will need it to book appointment.

That has been the trend for some now. It's not new. You will be interviewed like others.
