A female baker has lost a baking contract after she refused to call her male client “darling” or “sweetheart” upon his request.

The lady exposed the client by posting their supposed chats on twitter and asking her followers if sh had done wrong by not calling the man the names he requested for.

The said client sent her a WhatsApp chat ordering for a cake, and she replied to the chat in a formal way, only for the client to take offense in it, and asked that she uses words of endearment for him.

When she refused, he gave the cake deal to another baker.

She however wanted to know if it was okay to address her clients with pet names

You did the right thing, by falling to his "control trick" you may end up losing more than money. Though a better means of approach would have been better than just being "formal", since he's a joking guy.... joke along.
