The 2019 jamb is very close by and I think it's hard time we had a study group for the monstrous subjects like physics,chemistry and biology.

yeah, many fail because they claim to be addicted to their phones well this is a good way to remedy that effect.
instead of wasting time chatting from morning till night or (in serious cases) watching porn.
why not come In here to have an online preparation .

now this is how the study group will function, if you have problems understanding a particular concept, share that concept with the group,anyone who understands can explain it in a simplified manner.

anyone with question throw it here,I trust Nairaland students to find the answer.

if you are good at any of the sciences your help will be appreciated to help a fellow student.

partaking in this group is going an extra mile to prepare for your jamb see you at the top fellas

I'll just answer them myself.

1) the photolysis of water is the splitting of water molecules into H+andOH- (ion)especially during the first stage of photosynthesis known as light phase.

2)alkanals are derived from primary alkanols e.g the the dehydration of ethanol by conc H2SO4 .

3)Alkanones are derived from secondary alkanols

Just edit your topic and turn it to medical science student,
Why exclude engineering?
Don't you know they can be of help to you medicals on physics and chemistry,

dude if you dehydrate alkanol with H2SO4(excess) you get alkene and not alkanal.alkanals are gotten from the partial oxidation of primary alkanols!

nope is not a medical science thing,I basically excluded math and English because there are already many threads for math quiz.
and beside many find it had to study the 3 main sciences.

would have said I did that purposely but I can't lie.where were gurus like u hiding since.

when primary alkanols are oxidized alkanoic acid are derived on further oxidation alkanals are then derived

I see you got the idea,but u basically missed my question the answer is actually hydrogenation.cause when hydrogen is bubbled into oils at temp of 180'C and atm of 5 in the presence of catalyst like nickel.

the H2 molecules is added across the bonds in of the unsaturated carbon chains,hardening the oil.
after mixture with compounds like salts,milk and vitamins it forms magarine
