PlainJAY: That you support one league doesn't make you blind to the truth La Liga is the best league in Europe and far superior to the EPL |

Christian Pulisic has an agreement to make a transfer to Chelsea and he will move to the London club in the summer, according to German outlet BILD. The transfer should cost the Blues around £45m. Chelsea reportedly wanted to bring the American international to the club in for January but Dortmund wouldn’t allow that deal to go through, so the parties agreed a deal that will see him move to Stamford Bridge in the summer |

Cesc Fàbregas looks to be on his way out of Chelsea. Not very surprising as he even said he wanted more playing time. Even though he was frustrated, he stayed very professional, which is all you can ask for. Thanks for the memories, Cesc pic.twitter.com/G2mhiwS3FZ |

raumdeuter: Chelsea ground capacity is 42,000 and 41,000 attended. If you increase Chelsea capacity to 60,000, nigh on 60,000 will attend. Stuttgart stadium capacity is 60,000, and only 52,000 attended despite Bundesliga ticket prices being considerably lower. 12 Likes |

Ibime:So why did the foolish airmark and his other Chelsea mentor tell him that the stadium capacity determine the size of the crowd He posted that drivel at 10:48 no one could correct him or set him straight until I posted almost 3hrs later That is why ignorance continues to grow on this thread and among the fans Girona stadium is 13,000 capacity Stuutgart vs Augsburg game is a relegation battle yet got more crowd than Chelsea vs City a top of table clash. I wanted the guy who posted that to come and make the same deduction 4 Likes |

raumdeuter: Well you can also deduct that the bottom end of LaLiga make the league weak as 1/4 of all LaLiga stadiums have capacity under 20k. Such clubs cannot provide stiff competition. Girona capacity is 14k and they only average 10k. That should show you some weakness. Eibar ground is only 7k capacity FFS. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Ibime: I wanted to give the oponu same reply. How would a league team be able to raise good money to buy world class players to compete well, when not playing in epl? Among Girona players only Doumbia is a known name, others are either factory workers, apple pickers or masons. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Ibime: Can you expand this theory and make the same conclusions about EPL vs Bundesliga Bottom of Bundesliga Nurnberg, Stadium capacity 50K Hannover Stadium Capacity 49K Stuttgart Stadium Capacity 60K Bottom of EPL Burnley Stadium Capacity 21K Huddersfield Stadium Capacity 24K Fulham Stadium capacity 25K 3 Likes |

raumdeuter: Simple. LaLiga bottom clubs depend on matchday revenue for survival as they only get a pittance of TV money which is swallowed up by Real and Barca in the main. Attendance is key to a competitive LaLiga since other source of revenue are low for the smaller clubs. On the other hand, EPL TV money is split equally and an EPL club could play in front of zero fans and still compete for decent players due to other revenue streams. Bournemouth is one example. . . although all other EPL clubs have at least 20k ground capacity, Bournemouth have only 11k. 3 Likes |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by raumdeuter: 1:38am On Dec 29, 2018 |
Ibime: Can we expand this thoughts and say Bundesliga where the bottom teams have a stadium capacity of 40k, is better than England? From data we can see that despite the low income of La Liga teams, they have a superior scouting system and player development which makes them able to get superior talents while EPL overpay for mediocre talents Atletico pays less than Tottenham in wage bill yet they regularly achieved more than every EPL team in Europe in the past 5 yrs. Juventus also have a lower wage bill than Arsenal yet they do better than all EPL teams. Same with Sevilla whose wage bill is way less than Everton, WestHam even some division2 sides Wage bill of EPL teams just show they overpay for mediocre talents. Mesi reportedly makes 600K a week, just 100k more than Alexis Sanchez. 8 Likes |
