Abeg leave talk for Mathias... back to the koko.

I will be staying in an Airbnb in the meantime and today I had cause to bless the man that founded such a beautiful alternative to hotels.

My host is absolutely an angel. Everything is in place and more, including stocked fridge and kitchen, unlimited internet, and a Christmas gift and card wrapped just for me! Talk about living among sane people.
omo I'm already jealousing you o. Chei see better life. God please answer my prayers and do my own for me too to come here and give testimonies

I don't see any reason why justwise will hide so many post and my own in particular, this is a travel section and not diary, many people reading this now are preparing to resign from thier well paying job in Nigeria to travel abroad, which we all know that is not easy abroad no matter which country you go. If you have a good paying job in Nigeria remain in naija period

It's a diary in the travel section. No be today diaries dey this section.

Regarding the bold, like seriously, who do you think you are to dictate to people to remain in Nigeria?

must you live in ikoyi there are cool place in calabar ,abuja etc over 90 percent of canadians earn 30 k dollars

While it's possible to earn #750K in Abuja, it's rare to earn same in Calabar. A place where the economy is in doldrums? Who will pay you 750K? grin

Regarding the thread and general relocation, I believe people should comment only when necessary especially in a thread like this which is private. Yes, we know Nairaland is open for all to view, comment and share. But trying to argue that Canada is better than Nigeria or telling folks willing to relocate not to is ludicrous. Till thy kingdom comes, Canada is BETTER in every ramification than Nigeria. Folks should even be happy people are resigning their well-paid jobs. Invariably, this frees up space for the next set of smart individuals who will later relocate. wink

Moreover, it's not only Nigerians that are relocating to developed countries. Citizens of China (residents of Hong Kong), South Korea and Singapore are doing same and these are well-off nations. How much more Nigerians?

Mbok, anyone who desires to relocate has the prerogative to do so as long as it's legal.

OP, ride on, I dey your back like hunchback. cool

Please let stop this derailing argument and allow the op to document his journey and experiences, people can ask him question but its up to him to reply.

Lets stop this Nigeria vs Canada argument here.

Thank you my friend. Imagine the OP just landed and haven't given much of gist but the thread is already 7 pages of back and forth irrelevant arguments. I think some people should be getting suspended from this thread.

OP . . . 10 o'clock don knack o. No weekend parole?

Am staying in a 2bedroom condominium (like 1004 in VI). My flatmate is a new immigrant from Belgium. So I asked him... why immigrate from Belgium to Canada? His answer? Canada is a much more developed country than Belgium and he finds life more enjoyable here and more in tune with his aspirations.

Because its winter, the sun doesn't rise early... so 7am here is still as dark as 4am in Nigeria. The sun also sets early and it gets really dark before 6pm.

Getting ready to tour the city starting from the library.
