Just today alone, I've watch two videos of the Nigerian army doing the only thing they know how to do best... To beat armless civilians, about 5-6 soldiers beating one armless civilian. Most of the people on this thread do say, the Nigerian army do have an advantage against boko haram during dry season, I guess it's still raining season in Borno state This army is only active where we have armless civilians, they are about to start their useless Python dance all over Nigeria now, harassing and beating armless civilians... We in the south west and Lagos to be precise are not interested in the useless Python dance, you can go and dance with boko haram in borno state, they are more than able and have the needed dance moves to dance with you. It takes two to tango, boko haram are very ready to tango with the civilians beaters 6 Likes |

And how many times are you lot gonna rant about the same sh!t you've talked about a million times? We know, what else is new? fvk If you are a Nigerian, then I'm sure you have relatives there, what would have become them, without those same soldiers guarding that Country? The madness of you guys always lumping all soldiers together, regardless of the sacrifices made by many of these men is truly mind boggling. There are soldiers that have died fighting these guys, that escape your minds? If you can do better, why are you here ranting Omololu001: 5 Likes |

Victory for 120 battalion. Absolutely routed the 1st, 2nd and 3rd wave of BHT attackers. Whoever is leading them knows what he is doing. Troops of 120 battalion stationed in Goniri, Gujba local government area of Yobe State have reportedly inflicted heavy casualties on Boko Haram terrorists who attempted to infiltrate the town through the western axis of the town. It was learnt that the assailants, who came in droves at about 7pm yesterday, met their waterloo at the outskirt of the village where officers and men of the battalion confronted them in a fierce battle. It was also gathered that there was wild jubilation in the town by residents of Goniri over the success recorded by the troops. The town suffers from poor telecommunication facilities, hence it was hard to reach out to the residents for more details on what had transpired during yesterday’s gun duel. When DAILY POST sent a text massage on the situation in Goniri town following the attack to the spokesperson of 27 Taskforce Brigade Buni Yadi, Major Alimi, he replied saying “The situation is cool and calm, Goniri is peaceful for now”. The image maker did not give further details on the number of casualties from both sides. Goniri, which is about 80 kilometers away from Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, was once under the occupation of the Boko Haram insurgents. With Goniri’s attack, the insurgents have raided three communities in Yobe state in less than a week. Source: http://dailypost.ng/2018/12/28/boko-haram-terrorists-attack-goniri-town-yobe/

Sorry to say this BUT WHEN NIGERIAN SOLDIERS WILL STOP POSTING PICS HERE AND THERE I GUESS THEN THEY SHALL BE ABLE TO DEFEAT BH(JOKE).BUT on a serious note 2018 has been a terrible year for Nigerians Army. Their hierarchy NEVER NEVER NEVER draws hard earned lessons (with the lives of gallant and vibrant soldiers) from defeats and set backs. No Dismissal of those who were in chain of command during the set back, no questioning on current tactics and strategy to improve, a deaf ear on complains from soldiers and commandants on the ground ETC(I can go on and on for hours). Am a Cameroonian who is a FAN of NAIJA military but seriously you guys are becoming a JOKE in AFRICA. The Nigerian Military Hierarchy should sit up and be up to the task. NoBI lack of money Be the problem but lack of ACCOUNTABILITY to the POLITICAL AUTHORITIES. In Cameroon though not perfect and under a so-called democracy which is in fact a dictatorship the military learns and adapts and even copy from the enemy.THE NIGERIAN ARMY HIERARCHY SHOULD TRY AND LEARN THAT BUYING OF NEW PLANES MILITARY HARDWARE AND GUNS WON'T WIN THE WAR BUT A PRECISE AND ELABORATE STRATEGY IN SYNERGY WITH THE TROOPS ON THE GROUND AND THE LOCAL POPULATION WOULD DO THE JOB . The Nigerian Military is far better than ANY MILITARY IN THE REGION but your Hierarchy Keeps failing the troops on the ground. I grieve for the lost of this young and vibrant men because of the top brass who behave with lack of humanity and concern to the cries of those on the ground. Sincerely if NOTHING IS DONE I FORESEE HARD TIMES FOR THE NIGERIAN SOLDIERS IN 2019. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU GUYS AND MA GOD BLESS THOSE WHO ARE FIGHTING ON THE FIELD AGAINST THOSE .....LACK WORDS TO DESCRIBE THEM 12 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerian military and police were created as a tool to enforce colonial rule through brutalization of the masses. They need to be retooled entirely and fondamentally. Also, Buhari should reinstate that program which gave faster promotion to educated and smart officers. 3 Likes |

NAF REACTIVATES MORE AIRCRAFT, COMPLETES BASE DEFENCE COORDINATION CENTRE TO ENHANCE INTELLIGENCE GATHERING IN PORT HARCOURT In furtherance of the commitment of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to ensure availability of more serviceable platforms for the prosecution of the ongoing war against insurgency and other forms of criminality in the country, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, yesterday, 29 December 2018, during his operational visit to 115 Special Operations Group (115 SOG) Port Harcourt, inspected the ongoing in-house reactivation works on Mi-35P and EC-135 helicopters. Upon completion in the first quarter of 2019, the reactivated aircraft would be available for deployment to enhance NAF operational efficiency in the discharge of its constitutional roles. The operational visit to 115 SOG was one of the series of visits by the CAS to NAF units across the country to assess the operational readiness in tackling emerging security challenges as well as progress of work on the reactivation of various platforms. The CAS, who was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) NAF Headquarters, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Muhammodu Muhammed, was conducted on an inspection tour of the completed Base Defence Coordination Centre (BDCC) by the Commander 115 SOG, Air Commodore Elijah Ebiowe. He also commissioned a new block of 18 single-bedroom Corporals and Below Quarters. The BDCC, which is equipped with communications and surveillance equipment to boost the operational capacity of the Unit in the area of intelligence gathering and real time coordination of the Base Defence Plan, would also help in timely response to security exigencies within the Unit’s Area of Responsibility (AOR). While speaking during the visit, the CAS stated that the current NAF administration places high premium on the welfare needs of personnel, as evidenced by the various projects embarked upon across NAF units to meet accommodation and other welfare needs. Air Marshal Abubakar thanked the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, for providing a conducive environment for the Service to function effectively and efficiently. Earlier in his welcome address, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Tactical Air Command (TAC), AVM Oladayo Amao, thanked the CAS for providing the human and material resources to accomplish numerous projects in NAF Base Port Harcourt. According to him, the CAS’ footprints were clearly visible throughout the entire TAC with the completion of several other projects, in addition to ongoing ones. “I can assure you that, these and other projects in 115 SOG are only a fraction of the overall efforts by the CAS to improve the well-being of our increasing number of personnel in various NAF Bases across the country. We are grateful for the guidance and strategic direction from Headquarters NAF in the areas of infrastructural development and operational efficiency”, he said. jakeporeshenko: Why do they paint all of their airframes with these ridiculous brown or green camo colors? It looks ridiculous, it shows a complete lack of focus and it doesn't make any practical sense at all to do so. Plus it's wasteful. All airframes should be a standard form of grey, much the same way all navel vessels are. |
