Good evening people, this thread is created based on cucumber farming. Let's share ideas we use and result of hardwork

Harvest time! So I changed spraying pattern.
Insecticide from 5 days now to 2 days interval
Fungicide from 7 days to 5 days interval.

New plants having yellow color on them, anybody knows more about this? Is it due to the chemicals sprayed on them?

How many weeks old are they?

Please I intend going into cucumber production
I need info on spacing and other details

I haven't used any Fungicide this week but I sprayed insecticide (Actara, nim oil) on Sunday and another insecticide on Tuesday (abamet). I did this because of white flies.. There are many white flies on the plants.

But I decided not to spray till Monday. I'm planning on spraying d.i grow

Go and understudy a cucumber farmer if u don't want to use yourself as a scape goat

But less water causes bitter fruit, so one is in a dilemma to apply just the adequate amount then, although its not as tricky as watermelon

white flies are disease vectors,mix systemic fungicide and insectide(Saaf and imiforce)with the di grow and spray,remove all the yellow leafs and dispose,if u can get Epsom salt in pharmacy also mix it to stop the yellow spread,healthy leafs are key to good and lasting harvest.

Thank you. I don't have saaf but I have ridomil gold.. I learnt that ridomil contains more of what saaf contains

The yellow leafs are not spreading tho but I'll take necessary precautions

actually ridomilgold mancozeb based fungicides is the best for cucumbers but due to scarce and avalibilty farmers use other substitutes.

I doubt white flies are very stubborn to control and develop resistance quickly to low dosage application of insecticide, I will even rate it more difficult to control than leaf miners,I seriously doubt if organic insecticide will chase white flies.

Hmmmm, thanks for this. I never factored inorganic fertilizers and insecticides into my expenses though. I'll have to put that in.
