Prove me wrong. 3/4 of the people who brought APC to limelight and kept them there were part of the 16 years of maladministration under PDP.
One critical point remains; none of these years had Atiku at the helm of affairs.

So, a V.P is not at the helm? Do you even know the meaning of helm?

Obasanjo is the spokesperson of which Igbos?
I hate to make this collective, but you have a problem of deep thinking. Maybe it comes from your ability to frequently switch sides at any whim. Sincere apologies to the smart Yorubas on this forum, but you are a bad representation of your kinsmen.
When Obasanjo allegedly tore up his PDP membership card and switch sides pre-2015, how did that affect our choice?
In Igboland and Igbo-populated areas in Nigeria 2015, we still held our grounds and made our choice clear. Now that Obasanjo has come to his senses and decided to come back and united choices with us, we should change our choice because of HIM who has been gallivanting from one end to the other?
Maybe he helped massacre a lot of Igbos. That is Biafra's problem with Nigeria and will be seen as such.
Don’t mind the drooling slowpoke.

He thought he’s smart and could make a foolish statement against Igbos and go away with it?

Since 1999, Igbos have stood their ground and pitched their tent with a single party while his political prostitute brothers are being sodomised from 1 party to another.

They hate intellectual discourse.... Empty heads..
Children of hate they lie and mislead others with statements as 'I regret voting Buhari', etc a cliche they started using as early as few months into the Buhari government. To them it doesn't matter that the last government looted the treasury and Buhari met an empty treasury...they will say 'we voted him because he said he will change the nation in '3 months? (Don't bother to ask for proof, lying is their trademark)

They are not interested in any development in Nigeria, if it means ascribing any success to PMB.

Every good news of the nation brings them sadness, and they remain quiet until another bad news crops up

Some people ask; where are the achievements? Well, if they are of such mindset, unfortunately they can't be helped. We don't have the authority to mix direct them to go to Siloam pool, wash, and come back seeing. Once anybody decides to be willfully blind, no matter what you push in front of his eyes, he wouldn't see. If he decides to be willfully deaf, even if there are thunder strikes by his ears, he won't hear

Even if Buhari was the one personally tiling your cubicle you would still say he wasn't the one so why bother.

However I would want to pepper you still with a little response to your question

Anyone like you who says PMB hasn't achieved anything is either a thief or a bigot or a lunatic or deceived or sentimental.

It's only a big time crook like you that will say that 200,000 N-power beneficiaries is not an achievement. PMB should have shared the #6billion used to pay them monthly among elites every month.

Anyone like you who dismisses the school feeding program is a slowpoke. The farmers and workers who benefit and the children whose enrollment has increased should have been at home.

It's only a scammer like you that will tell me that a man who met foreign reserve depleted to #27billion and increased it to a high of #47billion amidst comparatively lower oil prices has not achieved anything.

Only a lunatic like you who will say that the security situation PMB met on ground in the Niger delta ravaged by Militants and bunkerers, Ikorodu ravaged by Badoo, South East ravaged by kidnappers, North East ravaged by Boko Haram hasn't improved under PMB .

The herdsmen they sponsor have been quiet since they started hunting for their return tickets. Their recent attempt to escalate it led to the Du pond discovery in plateau state and they have been very quiet about the revelation.

PMB inherited a rice importing economy. He inherited a fuel importing economy. He inherited an economy that was bled to death through all sorts of criminal rackets notably in the petroleum industry subsidy scam.

No rail line was working when PMB came on board. Roads where in terrible shape. By the time PMB came, they had sold PHCN to their cronies in the name of DISCOS and inserted in the agreement, a ridiculous clause requiring the government to pay them some billions if their licenses are revoked.

What they give Nigerians is unsatisfactory even though generation has been increased by this government from 2600-4000MW it met to 8000MW.

By the time PMB came, they had sold Nigerdock, Nicon Insurance etc. They had concessioned NPA and sacked workers who are yet to be paid till date. They had liquidated Nigerian airways whose ex- workers pay PMB is just settling.

They had sold NITEL and left their ex-workers benefits for PMB to settle. When PMB became president, 30 states were owing salaries. He gave them Paris debt refund and bailout running
into trillion. Religious and ethnic bigots won't see all that.

They said Tomato was their problem, now there is tomato in abundance . They said there is no garri now Garri is in surplus. They said their headache was fuel scarcity now fuel is everywhere.

But I know that the traffic of clerics, celebrities, traditional rulers, journalists, political jobbers etc to Aso Rock has reduced drastically because they cant get big brown envelopes as before.

This set of people who were used to easy money are the ones wailing like mad dogs but we shall put them in check with facts and figures

2 major rail lines COMPLETED between 2015 & 2018, during a RECESSION; the Abuja—Kaduna metro & Abuja Metro.

No rail project was completed between 1999 and 2015.

PMB's administration is constructing another 2 standard-gauge Rail projects; the Ajaokuta-Warri Rail, and the Lagos- Ibadan rail

P.S: Interesting to note that NO rail project was ever completed between 1999—2015, despite the OIL BOOM All we have from PDP is a #GEJstartedit

Even their national office, WADATA PLAZA is still uncompleted till date.
Butterfly.

Accountability is another reason. Under some presidents, the rich gets richer, while the poor gets prison. Not under Buhari. The resources of the country are for the people of the country. Greatest good to the greatest number of people. The last administration (we won't and can't stop talking about them, never!) sat over resources in billions of dollars. Oil prices hit $140 dollars per barrel under their watch, and stabilized at about $100-110 for a number of years. They met our foreign reserves at $62 billion. When they left, it was just $29.6, yet oil prices had hit the rooftops. What happened? Thievery. Today, with oil prices having dropped to about $30 per barrel in 2015, and now oscillating between 60 and 70 dollars per barrel, our reserves have hit $47 billion, and still growing. Prudence. Transparency. Resourcefulness. Accountability. Will I then exchange this type of government for another? That would mean willful blindness, after our sights had been amazingly restored. That would mean willful backsliding into perdition, after we had been wonderfully saved.

Still talking of accountability, you must have heard of the billions and trillions of naira that accrued to government from agencies like Customs, Federal Inland Revenue Service, NIMASA, JAMB, and many others in recent times. These agencies are not newly created. So, what happened to revenues they made in the past? Your guess is as good as mine. Will I then leave terra firma for terra incognita? God forbid! Because an accountable man is in the driver's seat, the virtue is now flowing downwards.

Elections are coming. And there's no need to fear. Why? Because the will of Nigerians will not be subverted. Never! A President once told us in this country that the coming polls would be do or die. Not with President Buhari. Fair is fair. No foul play. Under his watch, his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa and Anambra states. At the last Council of States meeting, Gov Willie Obiano publicly registered his appreciation to President Buhari, for the level playing ground he made available during the election in his state. With do or die apostles, and a certain political party in power, such would never happen. Not with their garrison mentality. All states are territories that must be conquered, willy-nilly.

APC has won gubernatorial positions under Buhari in Kogi, Ondo and Edo states. The victories were fair and square. The party lost in Bayelsa and Anambra. This President would never manipulate victory for anyone, not even his own party. And you ask me not to trust him? I will, and no mistake.

GOD BLESS OUR PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
We rise!!

let me add to this

Boko haram was almost in lagos durinf GEJ administration with majob bombing in Abuja and surrounding cities.

Now they have been limited to Bornu

We have provided Buhari and APC's score card part 1 in three and half years with complete sources.

The Simple Question here is why did the country degenerate to such a pitiable level in 3.5 years of APC/ Buharis rule ?

And before you follow Akpabio to shout 16 years of PDP remember the airport APC used yesterday in Akwa Ibom and stadium are also part of the 16 "wasted" years of PDP.

GIVE ME ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF A FAILED STATE IF NOT THIS.....
President Buhari has been the most incompetent President Nigeria has had; both in 1983-1985 and now. Both times, the country went into recession.
Not one Ministry has seen infrastructural development under him. That’s not true.
They are building rail lines. Fantastic!!!!! But, we have to reduce the speed of those trains, so we don’t kill cows!
His Minister of Environment resigned this week and 90% of the population didn’t even know we had such a Minister!
ASUU has been on strike for 6 weeks, no one has heard from Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.
Minister Fashola finally gave up on power and told us to hold the businessmen in charge of DISCOs responsible for lack of power. Meanwhile, government is still in charge of Generation of power.
Minister of Interior is only known to declare public holidays.
We don’t even know his name. (RTD Lt-Gen Abdulrahman Bello Danbazau).
Name a working Ministry in the Buhari government.
Is it ICT, whose Minister Adebayo Shittu, boasted that he didn’t do NYSC because NYSC didn’t come to call him in his house?
Is it Sports, whose Minister Solomon Dalung, “spended” his entire Ministry’s budget; gets to the US with his entourage, while the Super Eagles are stuck in Camp, because no one paid for their air fares?
Is it Agriculture, whose Minister Audu Ogbeh, former Chairman of the PDP, told us to import Brazilian grass to feed cattle so herdsmen will stop killing humans for their farm produce?
Ogbeh also declared a fanfare to export yams to the US.
The yams were finally returned 4 months later, spoiled, because of lack of conditioned containers.
In 2018, Ogbeh told us we had so much rice for export, our problem was lack of bags to package them. Then the rains came and Ogbeh told us we may starve, as flooding was affecting rice farms across the country.
So, all the rice we wanted to start exporting, we didn't even have storage for them?
Is it foreign affairs, whose Minister Geoffrey Onyeama, couldn't send a delegate, to the burial of over 100 Nigerian teenage girls sexually molested and killed on a Russian war ship? He wasn't aware!
What of xenophobia in South Africa, a Nigerian is killed every other week in South Africa! Nigerians trying to escape through Libya? We see them only on foreign media.
Is it Information, whose Minister, Lai Mohammed, hasn't disclosed to the tax payers what ails our President, who we are paying for his medical tourism, but remembers to tell us the President can no longer speak his native tongue because of a brain surgery he had in London in 2017? Adding fuel to the fire of the Jubril from Sudan rumours.
Our information Minister who told us that El Zakzaki is being fed with N3.5 million monthly rather than be released on bail, as instructed by the courts!
He reacts to rumours rather than provide information. Nigerians have renamed him Lie Mohammed.
One wonders if the Buhari cabinet are for him or against him? But he’s found no need to reshuffle them. If it took him 6 months to find this crop, he definitely doesn't have another 6 months to find replacements.
So, what exactly does a Buharist extol in him?
Buhari said fuel subsidy was a scam. He removed it, made petrol N145 yet still paying subsidy. Why is he paying for a scam?
He hasn't obeyed court orders when it doesn't suit him, but wants Nigerians to be law abiding.
When asked for achievements, his aides steal file pictures from the Internet to deceive gullible followers. But their lies always get exposed because in their archaic minds, they don’t know you can search the source of all pictures on-line.
Their funds for feeding children in schools is more than the entire budget for the Education ministry. But we see pictures of children being fed noodles without egg or meat in nylons.
They are sharing Tradermoni in markets to help poor traders. But after the N10k vote buying gift, will the poor trader come to them for help when she falls ill and cannot afford drugs nor quality health care?
Will her children who are out of school, ever get out of poverty without quality education?
Will her business still not need help from her neighbours tomorrow, in an environment that kills businesses fast?
Rather than build infrastructure; schools, hospitals, roads, power, housing; that every poor trader can take advantage of to get out of poverty in the future (at least for their children), the Buhari Government shares N10k that perpetuates poverty because it can’t make a poor trader rich! Not in 100 years, not with the harsh economic realities of Nigeria today!
Nigeria: who has bewitched you?
A government that has no solutions than to keep blaming the PDP.
APC was formed with PDP members. That’s the only way they won 2015 elections.
People wanted a change from the old politicians. They formed a NEW party and started blaming their old party for the same problems people voted them in to solve!
Their Manifesto was hinged on Security, anti-corruption and economic growth!
Rather than kill Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen joined the league of terrorists!
Rather than kill corruption, President Buhari praised Gov Ganduje (Gandollar), a Governor caught on tape receiving kick-back from contractors in Dollars.
Babachir Lawal is still a free man. Indicted for cutting grass with N200m in IDP Camps. The victims of Insurgency being used as meal tickets, by a man from the President’s kitchen cabinet!
What of Maina of the infamous Mainagate? He was re-instated by President Buhari.
What of the economy? Let’s overlook that the Minister had a forged NYSC certificate.
Dollar moved from N197 officially to N350 in 2 years.
We went into recession and are on the brink of it again!
We moved from 10.5 million out of school children to 13.2million. The Buhari administration said that is 2015 data, they haven’t done any research in 3 years.
So, how do they know how many children they want to put in schools, if they haven’t counted in all the time they have been in government?
The figures may have even gone higher as over 10 million adults have lost their jobs in th e last 3 years of this administration.
Most companies had no choice but to cut down on labour force as the recession hit hard.
The ones still employed, had salary slashes.
What has a Nigerian enjoyed in the Buhari Government that will make any one want to vote him in again?
Buhari’s children graduated recently from UK schools. He travels for medical tourism.
That’s the number one civil servant, paid by our collective wealth!
How will anything change in the health and education ministries, when our President patronizes foreign governments’ competencies?
Why should I vote President Buhari in 2019? What can he do in the next 4 years that he has laid a good foundation for already?
Please convince me.

We who are educated and enlightened enough to be on nairaland know or should know that Nigeria has gotten to the stage when we choose the least of two evils. We forget so soon why we chose Buhari in the first place: we voted APC for Buhari because He seemed to be a viable solution to the Boko haram and corruption malaise that we were in back then. We all detested and despised Tinubu (the average Yoruba man does at least), but we had ready ears for whatever any party other than PDP could offer us, so that when a large coalition of many parties came together to support Buhari for change, we were ready to preach the change, mobilise for the change, even fight for the change. All this inspite of the fact that Buhari was a candidate no one in his right senses would vote for in 2011, not even the northerners. Today though, all of Nigeria is depressed and demoralized, nobody talks about change anymore, not after hunger has become an everyday reality, herdsmen hegemony and brutality without any hope of security in any corner of the country, armed forces who are only useful for brutality against innocent citizens, acute joblessness e.t.c. have added to the woes we had in or before 2015. We are blank now, too weak to shout anymore, oppressed by fellow black men who share our DNA, yet unable to do anything about it.We suffer from acute lethargy due to political failure. No wonder young people resort to hitherto unimaginable crimes: they simply need an escape from the terrible reality on ground. We must all realise that our only business as citizens on election day is to vote out every successive failed governments without any qualms until we finally get to our desired destination. That is why I stand for Atiku, not because of any other reason but he holds another promise of hope for Nigeria, the first we've had since 2015.

PS: Politicians have every advantage over us except for our power to vote them out. They rule over us as Lord over slaves every day except on election day when collectively, we the masses have the power to determine their destiny. That is why they'll do whatever possible to buy, steal or scam our votes away from us. Also I am very sure that no child of Tinubu or Buhari or Osinbajo is on Nairaland, so why does anyone of us ever give their party such blind support? Why don't we, the online community sit down and decide what is best for ourselves as Nigerians? Am sure we are mostly young people between ages 18-35, should we make costly political mistakes that would guarantee a terrible future for our old age and our future generations? Let's stop being sentimental for whatever reason, let's vote as clear-headed young people not as our elderly folks who have never been online who we should strive to educate anyway about the complexity of modern politics. We are not growing any younger and no developed country is offering us free citizenship anytime soon. It is in our hands whether Nigeria is our hell, our prison or our paradise.

#NIGERIA IS IN OUR HANDS

Nope he isn't. So long as he reports to and is subject to directions by a superior, he isn't at the helm.
Perhaps I should school you on the origin of the helm. It's actually a ship term, culled from helmsman. The helmsman pilots a ship. He like every other people is a worker on the ship, but his job is to move the ship in whatever direction he feels is best.
