Which *could* be.
Not necessarily an arm force personnel and not necessarily a local government chairman/secretary.
I never said all of them must sign the forms, from the instructions atleast 2 of any the three must sign the forms (from ACP, Military personnel(Lt Col and above and Lg Chairman).

These are trying times for the army yes I agree(fact), but it is the best time to join. The officer might not be far from the truth with respect to the possibility of paying the supreme price, but if it is not your time nothing can kill you, Moreover I've seen a multinational Oil coy staff die of common headache, and just yesterday attended a Thanksgiving of an Lt that have spent close to 3yrs in Borno.
Ask yourself some salient questions, Is it lack of jobs that is driving you to join the army? Is it pageantry? or a genuine desire to defend your country? You alone can answer these questions truthfully, because you can't lie to yourself afterward, you make your decision. I usually advice my friends to take time and visit 44 Army Ref hospital, after seeing the patients there by default you will know if you really wanna join or not

Are there people with genuine desire to defend this country?

Do peopl like that really exist grin

Am in it for the prestige, recognition and glory
And this has been my childhood dream cos I spent around 18 years ofy life in the barracks..

Never for once have I thought of defending the country. You know why? Cos the dream came at a time when Boko Haram was not in play.

I went to a mechanic work shop one day and saw a captain.he was so bitter at the way soldiers are been treated.. That he just said " I don't advice anyone to join the army at this time"

At this point I decided not to tell him I applied

Cos he would have told me to forget it.

Okay from what I found out from course 44 officers, you must have 2 refrees,. One must be from the category stated... Local government Chairman/secretary OR lieutenant colonel and above equivalent.....and then somebody else who can attest to your good character...one of the course 44 guys said his HOD signed the second refree form and it was accepted..find someone who holds a high position in a public/federal office from your state to sign...itll be very much accepted......read the clause well....they said OR

And please...if you cannot serve this great nation with your body, soul and spirit....if you do not want to go to Maiduguri, please don't come for the screening so that we there can know ourselves and your absence will increase our chances of getting in..

that's like getting two people in the same office to sign.i highly doubt that they would like that....like me now,i have it to the director of the federal civil service to sign for me....my course 44 friends said she's more than qualified...they said chairman/secretary...they won't accept it..so I have one signed at the local government, I have the other signed by the director..

And yet Allah in his infinite wisdom knew some candidates won't go for the interview talk more of training or posting to Maiduguri but they made the list. There is sure a rationale behind this. Glory be to thee, Most High.
