But this is not the case. The profile has been on for more than 6months expect you are saying this msg is a msg that came in this morning from cic. I only upgraded my ielts scores in August 2018. I checked yesterday and it was eligible.

Then there’s possibility of increase in POF.

Thanks ma/sir.

Sorry about the ineligiblity of your profile.

I want to think it's a system glitch as some other people in the pool experienced the same issue this morning.

I'd suggest you create a new profile or you send a mail to CIC.

It will surely end in praises.

Chikaima18:
Congratulations. This your post just lifted my spirit.

I recently entered the pool, woke up this morning to see a notification of email. Checked email and saw you are no longer eligible to be in the pool. I don't even understand what happened. I was eligible before and all of a sudden. Killed my spirit but reading this your post, am a little motivated.

Congrats and may all our testimonies be complete.

Happy new year to every one

I think so too.

I have been away from viewing this thread for about 2 weeks now because I have been preparing for my 3rd and final ielts exam (by God’s grace) coming up on saturday, only for me to wake up with a mail notification from cic. I was already smiling thinking a miracle had happened only for me to see you’re no longer eligible. I was wondering what could have gone wrong. I assumed maybe I made an error while updating my scores last week so I sharply opened another profile and quickly completed all information and submitted.

I woke up now to see another notification and then i noticed it was just one. Usually it would be two mails if u submited a new profile and were found eligible. I just knew something was wrong and logging into my profile confirmed my fears.

I quickly came here to see if it was a general thing.

All I know is sha las las it will end in praise and it will be before the end of this year 2019.
joo2018:
The profile ineligibility thingy seems to be global, there are reports on canadavisa for the same thing.

Either it is strategic decision or they have changed program requirements. I think we can only wait and put our ears to the ground.

I guess the problem is because of review in the POF that is to take effect this January. Although no update on CIC website but when I checked my eligibility again using a higher amount, I was found eligible.
Should we just create another profile? Do one have to delete the ineligible profile before u can create another one?

Good morning family...Happy new year.... I need serious help.
IELTS Nov1 LRSW- 7.5, 9, 7.5, 6.5

I am fine with my writing score because i reviewed my essay and I found out that it lacked structure. My major problem is the listening, people who have aced listening should please recommend books or online sites where the standard of questions is equivalent to IELTS.(I was told that band 8 is about 35-36 over 40) and sincerely i am deficient in this section.

On test day, i was completely lost in section 2, (the dolphin question where we had to match features of dolphins with their species).
I intend writing this january. PLEASE help.....I would also like people who have aced it to give me tips(I don't know if band 9 is feasible).

Band 9 is feasible but concentration is key. I had 9 in listening and the best advice i can give is to practice and don’t stop till you’re getting 37-39 over 40 consistently. Use Cambridge books, print out the tests and the answer sheet. What have you been using to practice and how many tests did you practice?

For those with ineligible message, hopefully they would give update on IRCC website before the end of the day.

If by tomorrow morning there's no update, I advise you increase your POF slightly until the next profile becomes eligible. Just in case there's a draw tomorrow.

Good morning all.

Please can someone advise if probational period of a job counts too as part of the experience?
Say I was given a job for a 3 months probation, and was confirmed by another letter some months later, can I add the 3 month probation to make a year?

Terribly saddened by all the news of ineligible profiles and i hope all those affected can find a way around it very soon. However, i do not think it has anything to do with POF as i only just submitted a profile in late December and my POF was the recommended amount of 12,475 CAD for a single applicant and i fortunately didn't receive any email last night. If were to guess, i'd say CRS scores have been greatly increased.

Concentration is important, so is grammar. Ability to understand and identify synonyms and vocabularies... Practice under exam condition. Time and score yourself truthfully (wrong spellings or tenses should be marked wrong if it doesn’t match provided answer).

Listen to BBC. You can download British Council’s ielts app to help too. Good luck

Ok. You’ve seen the issue then so pls Use Cambridge books, like I earlier said. Do all the listening in as many books as you can find, start from the latest available online (book 13 i think) and go down from there. Like someone mentioned, mark yourself truthfully ( spellings, capitalization (you can answer in All caps to avoid this), plural/singular etc)

Happy new year to you all wonderful people. In this new year, all our expectations shall not be cut short in Jesus Name. The Lord shall come through for everyone of us. This year, there shall be miracles and blessings like never before. The things that look so impossible last year, shall be easy this year. Every mountain that is stopping you from achieving your goal in 2018 has already been dismantled. Be ready to shout and sing songs of victory. Shalom!

Thank you once again. This 'Cambridge book' is a physical book right? And not an online material that can be accessed on the web.Just asking so that i can purchase it immediately.

Happy New Year Everyone
Last year by Jan 5,2018 POF was also increased by 1.4% and the first draw came Jan 10 or so. Little increase but many became ineligible. For the ineligible profiles you may add a figure in about same range to see if it changes in creating a new profile early for next draw.
I think new figures should reflect on POF requirement page after the holidays
Good luck everyone this year

In my own case, I used materials on ieltsfever.com. They have harder questions to practice with. I was able to get L-8, R-8, W-7, S-7.5 For the writing, I only used Jay on YouTube and I never practice a single letter, I only followed the structures. I think this will help

I really want to believe this is a system glitch cos this isnt tbe first time POF increased and i dont remember so many people making same complaint except its my memory failing,i also don't know IRCC to do stuff without giving fair warning. I believe its more of a glitcht than a restructure. I hope!

No need to purchase. I think there is a google drive link to the Cambridge books somewhere on nairaland. if you stay around surulere I can give them to you ...about 7.5 gig. who knows I can also help out with tips. ieltsmini and ieltsonline are good source to practice with too. good luck
