let the states manage their minimum wages them selfs....like this, their will be competition between states.... if you cant pay, then your valueble workers will move away to other states.... 1 Like |

dunkem21:But the minimum wage was always a benchmark. That's why it's called MINIMUM wage not maximum. Any state that can is free to pay more. 2 Likes |

WORLDPEACE: true that....but is it feasable....?? their are states that cant even generate enough revenues to pay workers sef....they completly depend on federal allocations to pay the workers they already have....i think numbers of states should be reduced.... states should merge toghether.... merge lgas toghether.... 1 Like |

Shuku0kukobambi:After all the rigmarole, you still shot yourself on the foot. So an arid state like zamfara and yobe would refuse to collect 22.5k because someone in Lagos or AKS are paid higher? You are confused and tired and needs to log off. 1 Like |

Gandollar: Menh na u de cofuse. NLC says the lowest they can go is 30k. Some states say they can pay it, some say they cant pay it. FG say they can pay it too. What Peter Obi said is just the logical part of the whole minumum wage (truth is not all state can pay the 30k, even the 18k some still dey owe). But NLC no send NLC cannot allow any state to colllect a minumum wage less than 30k if they make it a benchmark. Just like the 18k now. A state can choose to pay higher for minimum wages, thats not NLC problem. 1 Like |

bantudra:There are no valuable workers in gombe, zamfara, yobe, bornu etc. There's nothing going on in these places. They only come to work when salary is due. They should not be paid more than 10k in these places. |

Shuku0kukobambi: Smiles, what if I tell you that Lagos can't pay the 30k, will you believe? But that's the reality! 18k sef, Lagos is hardly paying it cos instead of paying it as basic salary, they deduct from it in form of tax again Ask any Lagos civil servant. 1 Like |
