But, did you feel the urge to praise Iwobi for his unbelievable pass to Maitland-Niles against Liverpool, a pass even De Bruyne would be proud of?

What about his brilliant assist to Xhaka?

More interested in his misplaced pass.
Your views speaks very much about your name. Good analysis, good thinking.

Rest plans to invite Tammy Abraham, Lookman for 2019 AFCON – Igali

Adebanjo Ogunseye Adebanjo Ogunseye

Tammy Abraham, Ademola Lookman and other players of Nigeria descent can forget about representing Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, if it were up to Ex Eagles forward Victor Agali.

Over the couple of years, Eagles Head Coach Gernot Rohr has scouted Europe for players of Nigerian origin, as he builds a team for the future.

The process has since seen the introduction of Bryan Idowu, Tyronne Ebuehi and Ola Aina, all of whom have now earned international caps with Nigeria, but Victor Agali has advised the Coaches to pump the breaks.

The former Eagles player who is also the team’s chief scout has told Brila.net that only a few players are currently required to shore up areas of need on the team, and there will be no need for an influx of players.

Nigeria will return to the continental competition next year after missing out on two consecutive editions.

Arsenal: Alex Iwobi still missing one key piece of the replacement puzzle

by Josh Sippie1 d ago

Arsenal have been struggling to count on chances from any formerly reliable creators, but if Alex Iwobi can replicate his match against Fulham, we’re all good.

With Unai Emery unwilling to let Aaron Ramsey run free, Arsenal are without an assisting kingpin. They are counting on chances from any number of sources and, in such fashion, they never know where they may find their chances on any given day.

Needless to say, you certainly can’t rely on Ozil and Mkhitaryan, who have been not only underwhelming but unhealthy. In their absence, Alex Iwobi should have had free reign to assert himself, and in some instances, he has.

But no instances quite like the Fulham match where, for the first time, I could foresee a future without Ozil or Mkhitaryan, and instead at the feet of Iwobi, who, with one more piece of the puzzle, who rule Ozil and Mkhitaryan wholly obsolete.

He’s got the drive, he’s got the speed and strength, he’s got so many things that not even the two experienced creators have. He can dribble, like so few others on this club, and he hasn’t had many injury problems either.

Against Fulham, we saw Iwobi at his creative best. Suited up as a left winger, he was a dynamic creator who combined so well with the wingbacking play of Sead Kolasinac, the two of them combining for the lion’s share of chances – seven total, with Kolasinac taking the edge of the split by one.

Iwobi was dangerous with his crosses and didn’t look jittery at all, despite his track record of being just that.

The problem isn’t what Iwobi can do, it’s the consistency with which he can do it. Yet again, we were reminded of how positive he can be, but yet again, we have to remind ourselves that until he gathers some semblance of reliability, he will be missing that final puzzle piece that Unai Emery wants to see out of him before he can truly replace the two creators that he so capably can.

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a bit fed up with the Ozil/Mkhi circus. Even if Iwobi can make clear strides towards reliability, I would give him absolute priority over the other two, solely for the sake of building a future.

Iwobi has been chipping away for years. He’s getting better. But one more step is all he needs to complete the replacement he was destined for.

Let me just drop this for the last time

Hazard has never scored 20 goals a season and Chelsea fan boys call him world class and we are not arguing then why should we argue about
Mandzukic

Mind you mandzukic plays from the wings also ,so you have no point wanting how him to score 30 goals a season

Now name a super eagles winger who has scored 20 goals a season in Europe top 5 leagues for the past 10 years ? This is where you will disgrace your self once again .

Anyway yakubu ighalo martins came close but they didn't score 20

The last super eagles players that scored much goals a season and it was at the back water league was kalu uche scoring 19 for kasimpasa and onyekuru scoring 23 for eupen

You dey say mandzukic no score 30 like say your players don score common 20

Ordinary chukwueze performance dey make us go crazy including me wey dey talk

Please correct me where I am wrong

Thank you
You said mandzukic is world class but he has never scored 20 goals in a season.Hazard you used as an example is a winger. It is true no SE player has score 20goals yet simply because they are not there yet. you just keep Contradicting yourself. You must be a confused fellow. i no get your time again.continue to wallow in your hate against SE players.

Seems hazard is world class he has no excuse why he cant score 20 a season... Go and ask neymar and co why they are always doing it

Yet a certain Oasis007 is trying so hard to rubish Iwobi's performance against Fulham.

See I don't hype players here. Infact I rarely praise the performance of any D!ck and Harry player. But Iwobi is a player that even though he is "off" and "On" we have seen him switched On more often than off. He was Arsenal's best Player against Liverpool. Against Fulham he was the most creative player on the pitch.

Iwobi may not be on the same level with the best in the EPL but with the fixing of that one puzzle, which IMO is his shooting accuracy, he should be among the best.

I used to be active until I realize Patriotism is rather understood as Fanaticism on this Thread..... To some extent - its becoming Extremism.

It does baffle me when having a contrary Views is tantamount to hating, critiquing national Players is rather believed to be; bringing them down.

Most times, you gonna need to re-watch a Match cos Comments here would make you think - you are seeing a different Match that nigerian Player(s) is involved. You will be completely marvelled with the Updates; if you ain't seeing the Game.

Every time, we must dig out Beer-Palour Stats from lame Sites to prove our Players are as performing as Messi and the Ilks. Every time..... Our Players must be the standout Performers on the Pitch. Why do we feel happy from feeding ourselves with Lies, unverifiable Facts?!

Ain't it too lame comparing Mbappe with any of our present young Guns?! Ain't it a peak of foolery thinking Onyekuru will bench Mbappe at PSG?!

I saw the Arsenal last Match and wasn't impressed with Iwobi's Performance at all. Wanted to call him out for squaring a Pass to Laca instead of shooting on Goal for a Rebound - but the fear of being tagged an Hater who wanna bring him down made me to desist.

I do not have thick skin like Mickael2, Forgiveness, elyte89, Komekn, Curtisaxel7....... Hence I decide watching from the Sideline but never abandon like goldfish80 or Mujtahida.

Bhuhahahaha! The bolded is delusion of the highest order. grin

Iwobi's problem is not shooting accuracy but shooting confidence

Don't forget he was gifted an empty net against Fulham but he became confused and decided to pass to the far post

His lack of shooting accuracy is responsible for his lack of shooting confidence. His wide shots of time past and the criticisms that followed them have resulted in him loosing his shooting confidence.

See him shoot and score on at least 2 more occasions with successive games and u see his shooting confidence increase.

I hope Iwobi improves his all round goal threat. He is very good on the ball, can get past people with tricky but his goal threat like I said have been poor.

I saw a report someone posted about Iwobi going the way of Liverpool's Dutch midfielder. As an Arsenal fan, I'm open to that idea because the last time I checked, Iwobi's stat reads something like 10 goals in 110 appearances.

I don't need to point out how poor such a return is. Especially when direct competition in other teams like Mane, Hazard, Sane plays the same inside left wing Iwobi plays for us.

I was even addressed as a Certain Moniker by a supposed Elder on this Thread, simply for dropping my Opinion?! LMAO!

I am not bothered by whatever you tag me, cos its apparent some are made up to celebrate Mediocrity in the name of Patriotism.

This is how Iheanacho was being hailed as an hybrid of Messi and Ronaldo until he's turning out to become an hybrid of Morata and Lukaku.

There is something we need to learn on this Thread; critiquing ain't the same with criticizing. So far the only Player on the rise is Wif Ndidi. He's being noted week in week out. Several Scouts from big Clubs are watching him on every Match day.

How many times has Ndidi been called out or criticize on this Forum? Few only complained he should master the Art of passing - which I believe gonna help him to reach the world class Level.

How many Salahs, Manes, Aubameyangs, Keitas, Koulibalis, even Baillys........ Do we have in the present Eagles?! The earlier we learn calling Lagos; Dubai, won't miraculously turn it Dubai.
