Good monring.
This is really giving me headache, I have a 3yrs old daughter and a 2yr old GSD as a pet. At first the dog and my daughter got along with each other so well, it has never barked at her for once. But recently I notice my daughter hatred for the dog, she kicks the dog each time it's in the seating room with us, my daughter would move closer and start pinching the dog with any sharp objects, till the dog walks out or change location.... The dog was forced to bark at her yesterday which made me to immediately interject into their fight. I notice my daughter is becoming stubborn has she's growing, but should I be worried about her stubbornness with the dog?

Yes, you sure need to start getting worried about your daughter and your dog's relationship. It is very obvious they no longer get along pretty well and your daughter is beginning to see the dog as an arch rival.

The earlier you get them separated the better for all involved because Mr doggy is just still playing nice and looking at her like that kid he grew up with. He'd soon loose his cool and fight back one day.

Do the needful.

This is the problem we have in Nigeria!

Can the world see how foolish someone can be in this time and age?

Bros, if you didn’t have something meaningful to say, you could have just moved along rather than come here to say rubbish

first of all caution your daughter and make her understand that she has to be nice to people and animals around her lest she disgraces you in public,

. your daughter's life comes first let her keep her away from the dog for now till you think it's safe,to avoid stories that touch.

Keep them away from each other, not all kids are good with animals but some stupid parents don't understand this and they will go and get a puppy for thesame kid who is showing signs of cruelty to animals just for the kid to go and kill the puppy in the end.

Back to your daughter, keep the dog away from her, get a kennel for the dog and be putting it there then make it clear to your daughter to keep away from that kennel and tell your staff to keep an eye on the daughtet and not to let her go anywhere near the kennel.

Be letting the dog loose at night though, also keep it's kennel clean.

Probably one of the most reasonable replies here sir. Although in my opinion, I think since the dog and the daughter world still live in the same compound, it's important she doesn't become a "stranger" to the dog. Basically, the dog is doing his part in the relationship, it's left to him to educate his daughter and let her know how to behave, she's still young so mistakes are expected. But cull the mistakes before it becomes a problem on your hands.

Where did this loose dog come from. Can't u make ur point without insulting the poster..? Is obvious the poster doesn't know how dangerous gsd could be when annoyed seriously.

Dear poster. Pls make haste. Gsd doesn't have chill when annoyed in as much they love children. It could get ur dota killed one day or inflict serious wound. The first barking was first warning. They are very smart and have memory to recall ill-treatment. So Pls separate them if u can't tame ur dota. And if u can tame ur dota. Try introduce them again under ur watch so the dog can get to love her again.

I think, its the behavior of kids at that age, they are just like that with most people they can bully. she's just trying to bully the dog, as she might have been trying to bully her peers at school or church. like you said, she's becoming stubborn.

I think you should start to discipline your child on how to behave around people, around dogs and peers. she has to be kind to the dog. in the meantime, you should put your dog on a leash and restriction, as well as your daughter, gradually, let your daughter be responsible for something about the dog. like making sure there is always water with the dog. I did same for my daughter, she's 4 years. by age 5, she will be responsible for the food. By the next year, she'll be responsible for cleaning the surrounding of the dog. and so on.

All the best. keep your dog on the cage or leash for now.
