Honestly, u re not in the best position to advise him. Traveling to Ghana just to catch up with flight to SA is a waste of time and money. Kenya airways is very cheap and he can transit Kenya. I'm going to SA by February with Kenya airways and I will stop at Kenya to spend like a week there, also visit Tanzania by road from Kenya before going to SA. My booking is just $467 for my return ticket despite spending s week at Kenya. The last time I flew Kenya, I can say the airline is very okay.
iamkingrobert:
I think am in good position to advise you on this. Lol. Alright congrats on the visa. On cheap flight, I’ll probably advise you buy if from AirNamibia but it should be that you’re flying from Ghana, why because they’ doing serious promo in Ghana. Apart from the fact that you will save almost $200 or more, you will also transit Namibia which is a plus on getting your passport more tattoos and Ghana own too will be included. As for cheap accommodation, abeg use Airbnb but find a good neighborhood, SA is crime capital, remember. But I think Airbnb is really cool and cheap, I got some both in joburg and Cape Town and I’ll be there January. It’s my first trip to the place and I pray it will be fruitful and fun. Estimate on ticket from Ghana to SA through airnamibia is $460. That’s what I paid for mine. And you can transit there without their visa since you got SA visa and SA is your destination. I hope this helps you. To my SA people sorry for the “crime capital” remarks. It’s just what google feeds everyone online..

So I called the high commission(lagos) today and complained about my visa delay and that my school resumes 2 weeks from now.. All they could say is I should write to the school to write to the high commission... I'm tired

+2348150188800

Follow the instructions until you reach where it will ask if to want to talk to someone from the high commission or better still after you've dialed and it's asking you questions just punch in 121 slowly... It's like customer care service.. Hope you understand?

Hi folks, I heard from a certified travel consultant that skills under Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences on the South Africa Critical skills list can only be applied by persons from the 1st and 2nd world countries. Nigeria being a 3rd world country, people from here cannot apply.

I don't know how true this is. Please I will like experienced nairalanders to comment on this

I submitted in abuja since 19 june, 2018 for relative spouse visa and no reply yet. I have sent 5 different letter to high commission via vfs but My last letter, i used speed post and they confirmed they received it in the receptionist dept. 7months now no reply and they get hold to my passport, seperated me from my family, moreover, home affair told me i must come to my home country to apply for this and i did but i look useless.

I dont know my next step now.
