Swansy10: You have a point.... But bear in mind that TEF is the senior brother to IELTS and the exam costs almost twice as much. Just stating the things to consider. But then again, learning French is never a bad idea. |

Happy Sunday all.... So, a friend today called to tell me about "London School of Information Technology Limited" whose institute was sensitizing prospects for Canada that if they enrol & do a course with them for a particular course "Hands-on-software testing" (1Month duration) & secures employment from here in canada, it nullifies your proof of funds as you only do IELTS, Medicals & Evaluation. I am telling my friend that it is either scam or open work permit & not migration o but she no gree believe me as they held a seminar today self @ Allen.... My people, abeg follow chook mouth for this matter oo o as I intend to show her your feedbacks. Abeg, make una respond o. |

Hello good people, please how does the Treasury Bill certificate look like? I asked my bank last week and I got a paper called 'investment advice' or something, stating the whole information on the TBill. Is it the same thing? 1 Like |

Sorry to butt in but this is such a terrible take, and if I were him I'd ignore you too. You "got" his number meaning he didn't give it to you and doesn't know you but instead of calling and introducing yourself, then asking for the favor you needed you sent WhatsApp messages. Can you imagine a stranger sending you Whatsapp messages asking for a favor e.g money? (extreme example but same difference) I'm going to assume that every one of us on this journey is reasonably mature and we understand the basic etiquettes of communication, so why do we throw it out when we log on here? I think all of us need to realize that every answer we see or get here comes from the benevolence of the heart of the sharer no one owes us anything. Once we recognize this, maybe we'll be kinder to each other, and more grateful for the abundance of information available on these threads Anyways congratulations on acing IELTS, I hope the rest of your PR journey is smooth and uneventful. Pegzzyg: If this were true, everyone of us - including me, would have done the course. Who wouldn't like to avoid POF hassle? Please tell your friend to stay away from that scam. Yes, it is scam. Your friend can ask them for the IRCC Web page where such POF waiver was mentioned. If they cannot pinpoint on IRCC official website, then it is scam. Meanwhile, when is their next seminar coming up? It will be nice if those who are into the Express Entry process attend and ask eye-opening questions. 7 Likes |

Lol. Maybe they can teach IT, but can they get a LMIA-exempt job for her? I doubt it. Even the big name immigration consultants based in Canada don't promise that. I did a quick browse. The founder talked about training IT job for Canada then tried to obfuscate on getting the PR visa. So I sure it is just a marketing ploy to get people to sign on. See here: https://posteritymediang.com/interview-nigerians-can-use-ict-skills-to-get-good-jobs-and-live-in-canada-fatiregun-ict-trainer/# Canada PR is a big deal in Nigeria now and the sharp ones are going to make money off people's interest and desperation. Apologies then, and great to see that you called him, because this has happened to me before - not once or twice, and they were not 5-year-olds. Tired of seeing people take advantage of Whatsapp to behave anyhow. Barryston: 6 Likes 1 Share |

And I totally understand that nobody owed me anything that's why buckled up and told myself that I can do it...he owed me nothing!!!but if you can read his post that prompted me to reply...you would get why I had to say my mind..he said anybody can meet up in Canada and be of help...do you know how many lifetime relationship I've made here?people I don't know from Adam, but you are here talking about the ethics of communication..people even set up and volunteer to help people in their ielts...and that's exactly what I needed at the time...I don't have anything against him,in fact I congratulated him on the day he announced his PPR It's not that deep oo jmnsimone: 23 Likes |

Barryston:He was hot cake as you said and helped other people meaning he isn't as you described yet you had to call him out in that manner....Because the help didn't get to you, he's now a terrible person.. You don't even know why he didn't respond at that time.. Gosshh I'm even more worried about people liking your post and quoting you.. Like people are happy when someone is called out and shamed kinda... like they're happy with people's downfall.. very terrible attitude, so sick 20 Likes 1 Share |

Barryston: Honestly, I felt the need not to respond but I will because people take things as they are online. I volunteered to help with IELTS writing and I requested a venue since I had none. @cmoney on this thread arranged a venue somewhere in Ojuelegba and I showed up to help about 10-15 people I did not know from Adam. When I offered to help initially, I got feedback from people in Abuja, PH and Kano and there was no way to help than to give out materials. Someone even suggeated a Skype session. Who will pay for the Data? How can you guarantee a smooth session without network breaks? I have nothing against your feedback but I felt you could have said it better. I am happy you have finally passed and I wish you all the best going forward. I just felt you could have passed your message better rather than give people a bad impression. I would also like to know if you were based in Lagos when you called or sent a message. 36 Likes |

You know when I saw people happy with the call out. I shook my head. But then with the new attitude here people are going to stop helping, everyone will go their way. He didn’t even look at it that if this guy had helped someone a problem might have prevented him from helping this time around. He just called him out and others laughed. If the guy didn’t want to help you don’t you feel he would have deleted or blocked you on WhatsApp? His phone might have been stolen or something but No, you felt he was so terrible as to just read your messages and keep it moving. The energy on this thread is getting terribly negative and it will soon make people keep away and in the process vital information will be lost. But I guess it’s what you guys want sha.... Keep it short and use high band tenses in your sentences that are common to a native English speaker. E.g Instead of saying ""He was angry that Mukaila had escaped" you could say "he was livid that Mukaila had escaped" venorite: 2 Likes |

Barryston: Some people (e.g me) don't like to take their communication out of this place, PM is the mac level of contact I'm confortable with. Also could be that he was inundated at that point and needed some space. It's easier to help others with ielts when you just finish your ielts, than post AOR when you're all antsy with the wait. Just trying to see the other side of the story sha. 5 Likes |
