there is no fixed price. however it covers tuition fees for whatever University (these range from £13000 up to £30,000 in UK for example) + feeding and living allowance, as well as flight and visa to your destination school

Try and go for direct entry to Nigerian schools. You can apply for numerous undergraduate scholarships.
But if you must go abroad, then start taking GRE and other A level exams. You could get admission to 2nd year in some schools, though the koko will be how to get full tuition. My advice is go for DE here in Nigeria, do very well and get a first class (you can get scholarships during your undergrad study like I earlier said) and the coast will be better for you to further to Masters.

My two cents

the standard UK study visa comes with 20 hours work permit when school is in session, and when your program is complete one can work full time pending the visa expiry

There is no PTDF scholarship you can apply for with OND, I will advise applying for Direct Entry in Nigerian universities first and then graduating with good grade

For PhD, can you come with a new research proposal different from the one you submitted during application if invited for interview ? I helped reviewed someone 's proposal and gave him a more formidable research topic.

I will not advise this. The interviewers already have your profile; in addition to this a copy of the research proposal will be submitted after the interview session... So you dont want this to be different from what was uploaded online, do you?

Honestly, there is nothing like a "Formidable research topic" per sey. What you say sometimes can make much more difference than what you present.

If you get the scholarship, and if PTDF assents to the choice programme of study, then it will be duly funded.

You could also get some grants also, if you are fortunate.

Thanks for your response. His initial proposal haven't much to say about oil and gas since interviewers emphasises much on applicability of the research to oil and gas. His course of study is none technical, it is on finance. So I had to redraft to suit the oil and gas, which I want him to go to the interview with and a copy to give them.

I got PTDF scholarship with a finance background related to oil and gas. Thats what I wanted to do for him.

e.g ...your UK MSc tuition fee is £18,000....and then PTDF sends you £20,000 ....and then , you have a balance of £2,000 left with you after paying the fees.

I think they pay tuition fees themselves, and pay you the stipend and other allowances in two installments.
I.e if your monthly stipend as an MSC scholar is £1,150 per month, they Will give you £6,900 first payment to cover first 6 months and the so also the next payment.Though a current scholar told me this, I stand to be corrected.

I was also an undergraduate beneficiary , our school they paid us roughly 1 million in two installments but no laptops.

PTDF Pays the university directly, and pays stipend to the beneficiary account, just like the last poster said, it is correct - although it is slightly higher for those based in London (UCL, Imperial College, Kings College) because of the cost of living in London

2 instalments? Lucky you. We got paid yearly. Infact the last tranche was paid while we were serving.

Thanks so much, good areas. I applied for MSC and I mentioned some of the terms you suggested, including investment and taxation. Overall, I was not too specific as a PhD proposal would normally look like. What do you think pls? Do I have chances of making it to the MSC interview?
