The Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick is poised to meet with Chelsea winger Victor Moses and his representative in a fortnight in a bid to lure him back to the Super Eagles fold ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations tournament in June reports Completesports.com.

‎Moses called time on his international footballing career after featuring for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Pinnick in an interview with Channels TV sports program, Sports Tonight stated that if Moses insist on his stance, then the NFF will organise a proper testimonial for him similar to what England did for Wayne Rooney.

“With all due respect to Nigerians am talking with Victor Moses because I believe he is somebody who has paid his dues and you don’t just leave Nigeria unceremoniously and I told him that.

Crystal Palace are facing a tough battle with Cardiff City to secure Victor Moses.

The Chelsea wingback is available, after his first team chances became limited since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri.

And Palace are the favourites to do a £12 million deal, per the Evening Standard.

But the paper also suggests that Fulham and Cardiff are among clubs that would be willing to pay a similar amount to secure the Nigerian.

Moses has only played six times for the Blues this season, the last game coming more than two months ago.

I don't think there is a player in the current Eagles squad that can match that team in terms of ability

You saw how very skillful the two FB(More like Today's WBs), Bright Omokaro(10-10) and Yisa Shofoluwe were? They were the two architects of that goal.

That was when we used to play the "Samba style" Football. U could see the Brazilian flavor in how they played. No player from the current squad could have made that team's starting 11.

Nigerian Football has really regressed.

I think SA is currently safer than Egypt right now. Isis etal are close by plus the recent bombing of a tourist bus in Egypt makes it a no no for me. Safety first above every other thing.

Watford and Leicester used completely different teams. I watched both matches and your analysis is false and misleading. Nacho was perfect holding the ball up but the midfield offered nothing. Isaac bullied that team so I don't know what you are talking about

The phrase " Rose tinted spectacles " always comes to my mind when you make commentary with any Nigerian born local sourced player.

Skysports is one of the more reputable international sports media outlets. From thier assessment Isaac Success, was the worst players on both sides getting a 5 rating the lowest on both sides.

See link below

https://www.skysports.com/football/woking-vs-watford/403486

To further expose the delusional, l have taken an excerpt from the Watford Observer a local paper that is heavily biased towards Watford. See below they rated Isaac Success a very poor 4.Thier comments are below.

Isaac Success - 4

This was a game in which Success should have run the Woking defence ragged, but instead, they got the measure of the Nigerian very early on.

On an afternoon in which he struggled to make an impact, he frequently conceded possession, ballooned an ambitious overhead kick over the bar and got booked for diving.

His misery will have been compounded after being subbed on 71 minutes, only to see his replacement Troy Deeney score almost immediately.

Simply put, he looked completely bereft of confidence

So please Nwokem, which match did you watch ❓ l watched the game, and I saw Succes bullied off the ball, very early on. He almost went flying. Chei Oyibo were deh chop potato, come bully you, the guy fall my hand. I felt shame.

KC also got an abysmal rating was ranked 2nd worst player with a scoring of 5 just above Okazaki who had a score of 4.

See link https://www.skysports.com/football/newport-vs-leicester/403480

You said two things, first that both Leicester and Watford fielded completely different teams. Then you said you watched the game. I am lost for words.

The only major player left out of that Leicester side was Vardy, everybody else is more or less first team player. KC was given the stage to show his quality, unfortunately he did not.l could go into detail about how poor he was but there is no need.

Watford put out a strong side with the larger, there were no academy youth players as such.

Arsenal played Blackpool and used thier youth team to dominate proceedings. Considering that Blackpool is a league one team and Woking in league two. That should tell you something.

I've said this before and l'll say it again. I have no problem with Moses wanting to return to the Super Eagles.
We have to admit to ourselves that currently we're not good enough to afford losing a player like him. Look across the super eagles roster and you will notice that our vital players Ndidi, Iwobi, Chukwueze, Kalu, Uzoho etc... are "supposedly" under 25 years old. If they have a veteran presense like him and others who won the afcon before it will put them over the edge.

I have been following with keen interest the debate on this thread concerning Kelechi Iheanancho...

Dude is talented no doubt but he is fast loosing grip on his career ...

Dude is looking overweight and out of shape .It all has to do with his lifestyle. Reliable sources have told me about his reckless lifestyle in England. He drinks,Clubs,Parties etc.
Am not hating on his Success but Success is better enjoyed If he has a fulfilling Career.

Two seasons back ,he was acclaimed one of the / hottest striker in Europe.
Maybe he needs a psychologist, a physical fitness trainer ,a mentor I really don't know.

Just as a politician can become a lion or a chameleon to fulfill his ambition, I also think a player should also adapt to different coaching philosophy. We all know how CR7 started in Lisbon and Manchester Utd.But now he is more like a fox in the box.

What's it with African players when they achieve what I call groundnut success/survival success?, they just lax and fade out. What about Significant success? Where your name rings a bell in every household? Must a wealthy African man eat everything?...

KC needs to work harder than hard.
KC needs to change his lifestyle.
KC needs to study CR7 work ethics.

A potential has to go through a process to become a finished product.

Are you saying we can not achieve without Old players? Ghana had the youngest team in the FIFA World Cup 2006 with an average age of 24 years and went on to have a brilliant World Cup. Zambia after losing most of their their players to a plane crash in 1993 reconstituted a young team that went all the way to finals losing to the best team in Africa in the finals, Nigeria.

You keep downplaying the performance of the youngsters in our team just to prove that Moses experience at the AFCON

How experienced was Moses himself when he helped us win afcon in 2013?

Experience doesn't always count for much if the player isn't in form... Let Moses get into a new club first and start playing, then we will see what will happen...

The players we currently have may not be better than him,but they aren't terrible either... In Moses absence the team has been doing well... I see no reason why we can't do better..

We need players willing to play with all their hearts. We do not need Pinnick to travel to London to beg Moses to play for us. How does that in any way show commitment to us?

If Moses does not want to play for us, they should let him be. Same goes for Tammy, Lookman, Ibe and the others.

We need players who are hungry and itching to play for us.

Apart from form, is Victor Moses willing to play for us? Bringing him back will feel like we are a burden to him. He will priortize his club games over ours. He is not going to give his all for the team, so his talent and experience will not count that much.

Iheanacho has regressed no be small...And Success hasn't repaid the faith his manager has shown in him this season.

IMO both of them shouldn't make the AFCON squad if their form remains like this.
