You may think you’re smart but they are always smarter than you. Just be glad you met an amateur. I believe your money is still with MMM

There’s nothing like “Think he’s smart” only greedy people fall this poo.

Hello my nairaland pals and hello to the people of Nigeria. I was on Facebook this morning when I got a message from someone by the name Steven Nelson which is probably a Cover name.

He made an attempt to scam me and I played along. Bellow is our conversation in screen shots. Please, incase you get this kind of message just ignore them and don't fall for it.

Relax and read

I have actually seen smtngs like this on a group I’m on and the person kept bc’n these ridiculous format of tripling money in 40mins or smtn. The funny part is he even swears on himself and uses all manner of spiritual mumbo jumbo to convince people that it will work, jus give it a try and rejoice after 40mins. Like wtf is this guy ok? I was highly upset it wasn’t addressed on the group on time.

Cos it was on the group I gave it sm attention bt logical thinking about it, I knew it was bull$hit.

How and why shud a stranger double money for you in 40mins? The economy must be really bad.

Scammer must have been on cloud nine believing he's about to be 70k richer, he must have started calculating what he will do with the cash once it lands. Odeshi! no peace for useless fraudsters.

Flip cash is not a recent scam format though, it has been around since early/mid last year. It's unbelievable that some people can still fall for this kind of prank after what MMM and the likes did to people 2016/17

Since mid last year ke?

It's been around since the 60s if not earlier. Our forebears used to call it "sogun-dogoji" literally meaning double your money from 20 to 40.
