Please I need help, whenever I plugged in charger into my laptop, the monitor display light will off, and screen will still be showing. And when I remove the charger and restart the laptop the display light will be back on. What might be the problem.

not the laptop, the hard disk casing, its damn hard to unsrew, basically unscrewable. The hard disk is good, I asked one repair guy to run diagnostics on it and he said it was functional, but unscrewing the casing hp put on it so I can put hard disk in the casing of the first laptop is my wahala

LVDS fault, brightness dim on charger but works fine on battery.

its metal, the laptops aren't sha, I would have sent a pic. Its a HP laptop too

I was using my laptop after which it shut off by itself due to low bar3 at that moment i was outside my house, when i charged and powered it on, it could not find my HDD with error 3FO, I had to enable legacy settings which should have been off and enable it mutiple times while shutting it off and on before it could power on, and when it on the HDD works smoothly with no lagging or any issues , also i noticed my HDD always ticks each time i try turning it on, but once its on i don't notice any ticking, is there any way i can get it to work well without me going through the process of enabling and disabling the legacy settings multiple times while turning it off and on regards.

Apart from the rail carrying the current to the LVDS brightness, charging current is not getting there.

When the error occurs, try and check bios settings, system information to confirm if all information is correct, the ram, the HDD etc if they are intact there.

For the HDD ticking, I'll say you should just prepare yourself for another HDD cos on the long run it will develop fault and crash.

Some of the Keys of my HP probook 640 G1 are not working. Attempt at changing the keyboard were not helpful. The Engineer suggested that it's the motherboard.
