My course is health science prevention and health promotion. it's not coming up in uni-assist registration.

It's a very bad idea to study law in Germany. Go for something else.

If it's for undergrad, then I second that it's not such a good idea. We have vastly different systems of law + the language and it'll be difficult to integrate into the legal system here in Nigeria.

If it's for postgrad though, I don's see a problem. So long as you take a course with international orientation or even one that's not fully focused on just law (which is what I plan to do), it should be fine.

Granted, I'm not an authority on this and my opinions above are just from what I've read so please be sure to make further findings and I also hope @ Goldenventures and other gurus here will shed more light.

First of all the language requirements are too high. It requires a command of the language that even some native german don't have. I have the greatest international diploma of german (testdaf) with the highest grade (TDN5). Still, I myself can't study law. It would kill me. Law and medicine are a no go for foreigners.

Second, the acceptance requirements are very strict. To be accepted you need to meet certain standards that are very high.

Third, a degree in law in itself is useless. You will have to take an entrance exam where the best are selected.

Fourth, even to find work sef will be another wahala. The country is quite segregated in comparison to the US or the UK. Do you think redneck Germans will come to you as a lawyer instead of a pure German?

Unles you are highly gifted and uniquely determined and passionate about law, I would advise you to go another way.

Yes you can make a research only with the school. Uni assist will Give you all the courses offered in that university. Then you choose what is proper for you

Use Alle fache' meaning all subjects. That was what I used.

Do you want to Study in English? That could be part of the problem. Most of the universities offering health related courses free are but in German.

I didn't write my FSLC exam when I was supposed to, because I was told then that when writing a common entrance exam ,you dont need a FSLC exam at all.
When I recognized the importance was almost very late in the year 2012. Same year I graduated from my Uni.
My question is ,Can I go with this kind of certificate for interview, or I should just avoid it totally.

There is one at car park DHL. I think the lady told me that is 1400 or so, the they I went to certify my document. But if your stayin in Lagos, i suggest you get it 2days before your interview. Cos that's what I plan to do.

For anyone planning on doing msc in computer science or anything related to software development, I will advice you to learn a programming language before coming here. Its just so very very important, the professors expect you to know how to program and in every course module, there is a project in which you must develop. Most of the times you have to use a language decided by the professor, this is the reason you have to have a grip on a particular programming language before coming to germany so that you can use the idea when developing with other languages,most of the time the difference is just the syntax.

For those who know how to program already, try to create a mini project to showcase your skills this can help you in getting internships faster.

Leave out the course. Search for the school and the degree level only. The engine will return all courses that the school offers and that uni-assist can help you with. Sometimes, the names of the courses are in German on uni-assist and when you try searching using English names, you wont get a hit.

Don't worry you will ace the test. I am wondering if they give admission to other people that did not do BSC in computer science but want to do software development like physics graduates or mathematics. I did physics and have programming experience. I hope that counts for something in my favour .

I think you should write to the program coordinator. Explain ur programming skills in details and ur motivation aswell. And apply for IT related BSC courses too

I have been a silent follower of this thread & I must confess that I have learnt a lot. Thanks for the time you guys have put together to make sure guys like me are guided. However, I’ll appreciate if experienced guys in Germany can do justice to my little questions below:

(1) My plan is to try my luck for the winter admission. I studied elect/elect for my undergraduate course & plan to have my Msc in information & communication Engineering. I currently work in one of the internet service provider in Nigeria with a good pay.

(2) What do you think of someone that earns over 200k here in Nigeria as salary taking up the Germany Msc route?

(4) I plan to study and hustle same time. So on the other hand I’m considering a course not too tasking. Maybe something that has a blend of technology+Management. Any suggestion on the choice of course will be appreciated.

(3) I’m planning to apply with my girlfriend so that we can enter Germany for our Msc together. Probably same school or same city. She wants to study Biotechnology but it seem schools offering this course are very limited in Germany. Any suggestion for someone that studies Bsc Microbiology will be appreciated.

I think you need security. Those jobs you listed are secure jobs, from the government.
Weigh that with your reasons for traveling. If you can achieve more with the job in Nigeria, stay back.
Honestly, no be everybody wey go Germany de hammer heavily. So check your goals and align then with which one would help you attain then faster.
I think civil defence pays really well sha
And remember u don't pay taxes in Nigeria, but also remember that euros is ever rising and naira is continually falling.
€8860 was about 1.8m 3 years ago, now it's almost 4m.
