Are we sure we will be able to buy quite reasonable units at bonanza prices. Looking at the total offer quantities of FCMB, its just 3.34M units which is less than 6.2M naira. To me, it looks like volumes are drying up. We need more liquidity pls or am i a learner. It will be painful to buy at higher prices during election week as a result of volumes issue.

Pastor, its as a result of their merging agreement with Diamond. Anyone that owns 7 units of Diamond will get 2 units of Access bank shares and also extra 1 naira cash per share of diamond bank held.

With the current price of diamond at 1.90, Access bank should be selling for 3.15 naira to be at equilibrium with the merger policy. Though, i dont expect Access to go that low, before they come to the rescue.

I am very sure they want to buy up the rights at low price. Contrary to popular opinion, I thing Access bank would fly high after the merger, despite the dilution that might occur.
From the conference calls it is clear they would be buying a very clean Diamond bank since all the NPLs would be written off before the merger is concluded. $Debts would also be cleared.
This is unlike the Skye scenario where a sick Skye sort to buy a dead entity.

Buy up the rights or get more people to offload their shares at a far cheaper rate. Whatever it is, if the management of Access Bank is involved, this is very very bad.
