wasseynewest:I know @Zutlin has given a commendable response to the above message but will like to add to it. You may never understand the reason for this petition if your file is not sitting in AVO for more than 6months to 1year, without it being touched. And trust me, it has nothing to do with the file being complex or complicated, they are not just being processed in Accra for now for reasons best known to them. I am almost 8 months post AOR and the last GCMS notes I ordered showed that eligibility, criminality and Security had not been initiated @ Accra. My file was transferred directly form CIO to Accra for processing but it has not been worked on till date. My AOR is May 2018. I had friends with whom I started this journey with, some submitted before me while a majority of them I submitted way before them but they are all now settled in Canada because they were lucky to have their files processed somewhere else besides Accra. So this petition is to bring awareness to those in charge that either Accra does not have the resources to handle the process or they are deliberately not working on them. But above all, this petition (not a fight, as one poster put it) is not just for us whose files are currently in Accra but for those who will receive ITA very soon. If we win this, then you can be rest assured that you may not have to go through this unending wait from Accra or better still, your file will not be sent to Accra. Cheers! 64 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by Babeakosua: 12:41pm On Jan 10, 2019 |
I don't think you need to worry. Your dashboard just indicates that they are reviewing whatever document you sent to them recently (which they have received). Once that is complete, WES will send you an email, and it will state if they need additional documents or they have sent the documents to your school for verification or if the the process is complete(please seniors/experts in the house kindly confirm statement in bold). Youtook: Lol... they'll update it to tell you if your documents were accepted followed by your completion due date. You can wait or push them via mail. Depends on how long it's been like that. |

Pros and Cons of Computer Based IELTS "The computer-based IELTS test is becoming more and more common. You will be pleased to know that the questions included on the computer-based and paper-based exams are exactly the same. The only difference will be your experience on the day of your exam. Below, you will find a list of the pros and cons of the computer-based test and whether it will help you get the score you need. But just to give you a little context... When you book your test, you will be given an option to take the listening, reading and writing parts of the test on a computer. (For the speaking part of the test, it is compulsory to be done with a human). This preference can vary- some pupils really like the traditional way of pen and paper whereas for other students, the computer is far more favourable. So which is better for YOU? Let’s take a look at the pros and cons... PROS > Many find typing makes writing ‘easier’, particularly editing. For example, it is easier to re-organise paragraphs, to delete sentences etc. > The word count is accurate and instantly accessible. > Test centres are less crowded. > You don’t need to worry about your handwriting. > You get your results faster. CONS > You can’t draw, highlight or make notes on the screen. > Screen fatigue- for example, sore/tired eyes. > Typing is a distraction, especially by those who type very loudly. > Not comfortable typing or unfamiliar with keyboard layout. > Not enough practice questions. > Not comfortable with computers in general. As you can see, there are many factors to consider but the most important thing is this: choosing to do the test on a computer does NOT make it easier. If you’ve taken the IELTS exam multiple times and keep failing to get the score you need, it is NOT because you didn’t take the computer-based test. It’s likely that there are serious problems with your reading, listening, writing, speaking or exam skills that need to be addressed. What’s worse is that you might not even know what they are!" 15 Likes 2 Shares |

You can actually highlight texts, make notes on the passage during the reading section. Same way you would on a Word document. You can change font size to suit you change screen resolution etc. When going to the bathroom, if need be but not during listening you can 'hide' your screen, like you would close your book. You can practice with the regular paper-based questions. And there are tons of YouTube videos that you can use to simulate or learn or familiarize yourself with. For the listening, you answer as you go on. No extra time to transfer answers. And this is quite easy, because at one point in time, we've all taken notes while someone was speaking. It's the same. Some countries have the speaking done to a computer as well but not yet for us in Nigeria, so your speaking is still face-face with an examiner. Just thought to add some more pros etrange: 7 Likes |

etrange: I believe it is TEF. Whats your band for TEF - LWRS in that order. If you have straight B2's aside from getting 16 points (4 points each) you also get an extra 30 points. Thats 46 points. I simulated your scores using B2 For LS and B1 for WR. I got 483. I believe you re in order
