Thanks for the response. Please I want to be very clear, my visa expires in February, I have paid visa fee to renew, i saw that I qualify for Dropbox while I was trying to schedule appointment. I didn’t proceed beyond that because I wanted to be sure so I can get my relevant documents ready.
The question I am asking is: how long do I have to submit my passport/credentials to DHL?
Since there might not be an interview, I’m sure there’s a deadline to submit? The reason I am asking is I don’t have all my documents ready yet, I mean bank statement and work related documents. I don’t want any wahala. Thanks for your response.
Also, in addition, what documents should I submit along with my passports?
call the DHL office to be sure. I know that you only need your passport and your DS160 form |

Good day everyone, my wife and I had our interview @ Abuja last week. We were refused, please help me with your opinions to know what went wrong. VO - Passport me - Passed the passports to her VO - Where are you going in the US? me - Texas VO - Faced me, where do you work? me - told her VO - Faced WIfy, what do you do? WIfy- Told her VO - why are you going to the US? Me - Going for a short vacation and spend the Valentine's there. VO - Do you have kids? Me & WIfy - Yes, 3 children VO - Do you have anyone in the US? Me & WIfy - No VO - You are not eligible this time around.
NOTE: I had an uncle that was working with the Nigeria Ambassador to Canada about 18yrs ago, my uncle travelled to Canada with the Ambassador when he got the appointment(I don't know the type of Visa my uncle got to travel with him) After 4 years when he finished his tenure my uncle relocated to New York( I don't know the status he used to enter the USA). My uncle has visited Nigeria about 3 times since then and spent weeks or months when he comes around. About 4 years ago he had stroke, rushed to the hospital and died in the US, and he was buried there. Please I want to know if the embassy will have his record has been dead or they will have it as someone that travelled and didn't come back. I am just surprised that the interview ended almost immediately she asked if we have anybody in the US. Please I need your opinions because we intend to apply with the family for holidays later in the year. NOTE: No travel history, my wife just wanted to visit US because most of her colleagues have visited so I am just trying to fulfil her desire. Thanks everyone. |

Hello! Good day everyone. Been following this thread for some days now and I want to appreciate everyone who has chipped in, one way or the other and offered necessary assistance to the "prospective visitors" However, I need the most sincere advice anyone could give, on a particular issue. I am a 400l student here in Nigeria, expected month of graduation was December 2018, but due to the strike, I really do not know. I'm finishing with a good result so I have zero plans of absconding. I also own my cake store which was registered just few days back under the CAC. My "salary" from this business is just about 20-40k in a good month and I also have monthly allowance from my dad of N40k. Now, my aunties (one in UK, other in US-both citizens) have been suggesting I come visit for some time now but I just have never taken the suggestion seriously until recently. However, I have no travel history but I also have no plans of staying more than 2 weeks max. I just want to visit and see my aunt and cousin(who's about same age with me, just turned 20). My dad would be sponsoring the trip(flight and maybe tiny shopping lol) but I would be staying with my aunt in the US for the duration of my visit. My dad earns about 600k monthly, has very good travel history (within and outside Africa), has worked with top companies, working with one at the moment, however my parents are separated, I also have two other siblings in school. What do you think? Should I go on and apply to the US or try UK? Or just chill till I'm working and have my own stable income. I'm not particular about visiting any other country(in case of building travel history) since I don't know anyone there and would probably be going alone. If yes to the above, the next puzzle is- my dad is also planning to apply for a visa to the US for a business trip. Should we apply together as in, "family" or are our visas different categories since we're both going for very different purposes? Thank you very much, in anticipation for your wonderful opinions. *hoping the auspiciousness of the time posted, would bring in good comments * |

If u graduate, serve and get a work.. Along side building your travelling history with other countries then it's a great one. U have to prove ties..u probably still single until married, u still a student plus no travel history. However, people still get u.s visa on a Virgin passport even plus been single..
