Pls Nairalanders, I need your help. Last year I wrote the Jamb utme ( second time) and achieved a score of 277.I was hoping to gain admission to study computer engineering in the University of Lagos. I got the admission but was given statistics instead ( my aggregate was two points short of the cut off for CE). I was convinced to take it and start from there instead of waiting aimlessly at home for another year,so I have done my registration and all I am waiting for is ASUU to call off . Now I feel the need to write another Jamb and try again, but, people are saying I shouldn't waste my time and all that. That I should just 'manage' the statistics I was given. About three to four people are saying that statistics is better than CE and it would give me opportunity to a wide variety of jobs, and CE would only limit my Job opportunities. The truth is that I do not have passion for statistics and I would like to take another jamb for either CE or EE. Pls, I need to know what are the job prospects of statistics compared to CE in Nigeria and internationally at large. And if it can also be compared to Electrical engineering I would appreciate it. I really need your opinions . Please let's make this get to front page in order to get more comments and opinions. |

Bro. I suggest you go for what pleases you . You see , it's not about what you study that matters , what matters is the passion. You must be passionate about your career or else you'd end up like the millions of jobless graduates roaming the streets of Nigeria |
