1st year was the most bookish and quite religious, I always had this white ustaz cap on my head, cool, gentle, and quite. Really contracted and religious. Even nicknamed gentle ibraheem. Was a first class student

2nd year was complicated, got more schedules, enrolled in several religious programmes, and distractions ( girls) where advancing, it was crazy, my cgpa fell a bit, though I maintained the grade

3rd year was out of this world. A one time ustaz turned baller, had more friends, it was ABU, and the Kongo annex for that matter so hostels are quite strick, and off campus are mostly houses owned by mallams so sex and its equivalent is quite minimal. CGPA dropped drastically (ABU no dey tolerate rubbish) went clubbing some couple of times, it was crazy ( guys balling with caftan, no much girls, )

Thank God It was Zaria, it would have been a dirty life.

Its saddening that throughout my 4years in school, I never had any real fun, I spent most of my time buried in books, from school to hostel then church if I decide to, a triangular student, most invitations to parties, clubs, birthdays, house warming, dancing for money, hanging out with rich men like emoney, I refused attending, I just hope my suffering pays off. But I know the fun I didn't have, I will still have it, I'm still young.

My friends spoilt me in my final year.

I was single throughout and they were concerned. Peer pressure.

I slept with my best friend's girlfriend. They were having issues at the time n i went to visit the girl in her new hostel because she left where she was squatting which was close to our hostel(me n my guy live in the same hostel but different rooms).
So I went to visit the girl in the evening. We gisted till 10 pm,we were also enjoying each others company. As I wan go the girl said that I should sleep over, that was afraid of sleeping alone.I said okay.No sooner had we gone to sleep than the girl shouted that something bit her back....I jumped up,she jumped up n before u know it we were kissing passionately. The rest,as they say,is history.

My crazy experience at school would be missing some fellowship meetings (I was a fellowship persona) with the excuse of not feeling fine or preparing for an impromptu test and on sighting an exco or fellow member later at night(mostly around the female hostel) I would hide because dude's busy flirting with the girls they refer to as jezebels or destiny snatchers.
The rotten crazy pals I had as hostel mates made matters worse by supplying me weekly with condoms and would share tales of their many sexcapades with various faculty girls and continually refer to girls as nothing but sex tools. They were that bad.
Somehow the fellowship did it's work on me cause I couldn't bring myself to have sex with those girls, we would just kiss and smooch for long. I always had this inner war when I tried to go beyond smooching especially with those pretty face, killer shape ladies dressed in their seductive skimpy gowns. To be very candid it wasn't easy. Then I got to realise after school that life isn't all about the p*ssy. Crazy memories though.

Tried my hands on a few failed and partially successful business ventures. They were all fun!

One time, after 500L, I left my laptop in the power electronics lab. Shortly after, the guy with the only key to the lab left before I returned to pick up my PC, sometime around 9pm. Already, I'd purchased a bus ticket back to Lagos from Nsukka for the next day.

Now, as a responsible student and a respectable student ambassador, I trekked all the way to the PG Hostel looking for the man with the lab key. Unfortunately, halfway to Odili hall, my phone died And I didn't know this guy's room number.

But I continued my journey because the incurable optimist in me kept whispering - 'maybe, just maybe when you get to the hall, you'll find your guy sitting in front of the hall or somewhere along the hallway, or watching television in the cafeteria'. Well I must have checked all those locations no less than 3 times. Man was nowhere to be seen!

Then I got desperate!

In my 5 awesome years of UNI. This was the night I embraced the roar of my inner devils. And like a flash from the blue, I heard a voice say, 'Go back and do whatever you must to get your laptop out of that lab'

With each step back to the lab, my desperation grew.

Immediately I reached EE department, standing right in front of Power Electronics lab, I noticed the wide glass partitions above the door of the lab. Now the only way into the lab was to reach above the door, open the glass partition, jump into a lecturer's office and use a door that opened into the Power Electronics lab.

I've never had more adrenaline in my whole life than when I did all of the above that night. Retrieved my PC and went back to my lodge at 11:55pm. Laughed all the way back knowing that I nearly compromised 5 years of hard-work and sufferhead.

One security guard flashing his torchlight in the right place!?

Hi, I just flashed back to some memories while on campus as a single lady. I was single from 100 level to 500 level and started a relationship a few weeks before leaving campus. During my earlier years in school, I was less bothered about being in a relationship or not but as my final year was approaching, it then dawned on me that I would soon leave campus as a single lady.
