If only a debate could be won through debate in Nigeria as it is seen in saner climes.

If only we could adapt a new electioneering method: vote for your candidate through your mobile phones/ laptops based on your perspective of each contestant?

Then Gbadamosi would be the next Governor of Lagos!
But they will fault this idea based on " the illiterates will be disenfranchised?

If this statement is based on his verbal attack on Sanwolu, then it is not personal. It is what it is, will Sanwo be a boss of himself?

So his plan is to build, then hand over to LG to manage?
naptu2:
They asked them to pick one between primary, tertiary, secondary and early care.

Gbadamosi says that the state government has usurped the power of local govs to manage primary schools.

He also said that he will build more local schools so kids don't have to go long distance to attend school

Very clean debate, not too much personality attacks. The candidates conducted themselves maturely. I wish Lagos state all the best.

I believe Victor oladokun is not just fair to sanwoolu but unnecessarily fronting agbaje's interest. Agbaje forgot part of his questions, he helped him out, not only that sanwoolu did very well and mentioned so many things, he allowed agbaje to interrupt him and he also allowed him to cross examine sanwoolu. That is a biased handling.

They earlier said that the campaign managers or spokespeople of the candidates will get a chance to respond to what happened at the debate.

I think that's what's about to happen

There's always a guy that provides comic relief. This year it's Mr Owolabi Salis.

You're very right. The last time in 2015 was the fat man in Mega democratic party that said if elected, he'll stop the ongoing construction of Eko Atlantic and other "white elephant" projects

The best comic relief was provided by Yomi Tokoya in 2011.

Yomi Tokoya was a propagandist for Abacha in the 1990s until Abacha banned him from Aso Rock.

He came to the debate in 2011 to steal all Fashola's ideas and campaign slogans

I think we've got three good candidates this time around. It wont just be PDP vs APC this time around and with what we've seen, Sanwo and APC shouldn't expect an easy win because Agbaje and Gbadamosi have shown that they are also capable and APC despite being in power over the last 20 years in Lagos doesn't have the monopoly of ideas to turn Lagos into a prosperous city.

I'm happy with the way the debate went.

And thanks to Salis for the comic relief. He got the loudest applause though grin

Keep wailing!!!

Let me ask you again....If Sanwo olu and Tinubu differ on an issue of development or project execution, will Sanwo-olu has the effrontery to follow his belief as against the wish of his paymaster?

I am ashamed that Lagos state, the bride of all Nigerians has a weakling as a Governor. In case you don't know, Sanwo olu has been cornered and made to sign many documents that can implicate him should he wants to prove stunt like Ambode.

Lagos state will only experience true freedom and independent until a new party emerges...not necessary PDP

Wow. I can't remember that. But what I can still recollect from the Fashola debate was when one man took it personal against Fashola for demolishing part of his house during a road construction grin grin Fashola had to defend himself and all that.

I wish I could rewatch the 2011 debates to refresh memories.

Next up is tomorrow's debate. I hope it'll also be aired.

I think that was JK Randle.

(Some people had said that JK Randle was too old to contest)

Fashola said that the problem with JK Randle was not his age, but the age of his ideas. grin

That's some strong allegations sir, for someone who is still in campaign mode and the election hasn't held yet.
