Be quiet! The foolish lady is pained because she has lost out! She definitely was interested but was forming hard-to-get and the dude decided to find an alternative and got married meaning he was very serious and had no intention of playing her.

And what proof is there that he was engaged while he was wooing her? I know of many men who saw a lady, struck a chord with them in weeks and they get married almost immediately.

You sef keep quiet and stop talking what you don't know nothing about. From my experience guys are always fond of these. I don't know if they assume it to be a kind of fun game or something. ...Now that the matter is about your gender, all of you are excited.

This story points to the fact that the man genuinely want the lady at first, hence asking her out for that long but along the line he gave up hope on her in his mind since she was not forthcoming and decided to marry someone else but truth is he still like the lady and was hoping something can still come up between them before he finally gets married but unfortunately nothing of such happened and he moved on happily to marry his girl while this lady was pained because she discovered that she like him too and she is regretting why she didn't accept him.

Ok...let's assume that was the scenario that played out and the lady finally agreed, are you telling me that the guy would have called off his engagement with the other babe?

According to the lady, the man is Igbo and we know that Igbo traditional marriage rite is not swiftly done. Before the knocking of door, meetings between both families, compiling of bride price list, acquiring all the items in the list etc, no less than 3 months would have elapsed. Well let me burst your bubble! My paternal cousin did all these including his white wedding within a month. Secondly, is it the man's family that the bride price will be paid too? What if he settled for a non-igbo bride? The north don't do all the jamboree you mentioned in your comment above and getting married to a lady from the north is in a matter of day as long as both the man and woman have made up their minds. Let's not excuse the lady's blame game and scorn because we want to blame the man.
