But wait o! This Nigeria's federalism is a big joke. Does the federal government have any business establishing a federal university in portharcourt or in Lagos? The Federal government doesn't have any business establishing a federal university in the various states. Now ASUU is going on strike due to inadequate funding from the side of the federal government since the federal government gets all the Money. Who really configured and rearranged Nigeria this way? I seriously need some answers |

This country is something else, these are among reasons why most politicians prefer to send their children abroad when what ASUU need to call off strike one single politician have it in his bank account. Nigeria is a failed country academically |

Their children are all schooling in overseas. Either you vote out old criminals or vote in next criminals. Boycott this 2019 elections. 1 Like

Emceesaka: Probably. The outstanding verified earned allowance for all staff from 2009 to 2016 is 105 billion naira. We were told this figure was presented to the President and he approved immediate release of 20 billion naira and that the remining 85 billion naira should be paid in tranches. ASUU is insisting on immediate release of at least 23 billion naira (18.5 for ASUU, 4.5 for others), a clear timeline for upsetting the remaining balance, and mainstreaming of 2017, 2018, and subsequent years in to monthly salary. |

BillgatesMaigad: Revitalization fund is for all public Universities however they give priority to federal Universities. For example: two third of the 20 billion naira released last year went to federal Universities while the remaining third went to state Universities. Funding of state Universities is primarily by state government. A committee has been set to engage the Governors on this. |

abbeyty: The students themselves don't understand what is at stake here. They are not making any efforts to support ASUU, they are rather supporting a useless government whose officials have their children schooling abroad. It is not just about going back to school. Students need a sane environment and well motivated lecturers to achieve their goals which is ASUU's grouse. That should not be faulted. 1 Like |
