We have these two beautiful cross breed puppies about two months old now. But the problem with them is that they cannot use their hind legs. That is, their back legs are paralyzed. At first we thought it was due to the fact that they were fat and heavy in stature that was responsible and that maybe they were still learning to walk. But when it became obvious that the three others could walk and run without any problem, It was then we realized that these two, being the most beautiful and hairy are paralyzed from the waist region.
I am therefore calling for help on what could be the cause and the remedy to make these two sweethearts walk.

am so sorry bro....the same happened to my late gsd Murphy. he to was d most hairy and fattest dog in his litter. I went through hell DAT period as well. let me ask u a question. were they given any injection before d development of d issue

No we did not give them injection. We only gave them worm medicine to deworm them.

Thats why I am crying out for help. They were five.Three others could walk but these two cannot and it is affecting their growth and reaction of any sort. They hardly make any sound or move. One of them is so dull its acts like an slowpoke

I will really appreciate if you could help. The dogs are in Jakande Estate near Lekki beach area of Lagos

It is sad to see things like this happen, puppies will always need vaccines, dog lovers and owners should always have their dogs vaccinated cos it ca uses problems and heartaches when things start happening to our lovely dogs.

My advice when something is not right with your dog no matter how minute it may appear just consult a vet ASAP

Is best to just put them down, no dog should live live like this, it's not right. Unless if you don't mind spending money to take them to abroad to see a vet doctor, because no Nigerian vet can help them, Ofcource they will lie and say the can but truth is all they want to do is to collect your money for nothing in the end.

Bros, how do you mean by put them down. Do you mean I should leave them to their fate since I don't have money to fly them abroad?

Somebody should please help me. I don't want to see these puppies suffer like this for the rest of their lives.

No, as in get a vet to inject them with a strong sedative to put them to sleep parmanently.

maybe the bone in d hind legs didn't form well...or it might be a spinal cord issue.
The best but saddest thing to do is to put them down because dey are suffering.

Yes my thought exactly. Their hip bones didn't form well hence the reason. I believe they will still be able to stand as they grow older. But killing them is totally not an option for now.

I rather let them die on their own than taken them to a vet for assisted suicide. After all the vet will still demand payment for this.

I have done something similar like this. Did it with PVC pipe,T and elbow joints. But I am having difficulty strapping it to the dogs. I will upload the picture later.

We don't have those here, he would have to order from abroad, shipping it all the way will cost almost up to double the price. He simply can't afford it.
I told him to just put them down and get another set of puppies but he doesn't want to.
