Av been thinking recently to get a small and very affordable car, but Nigerian used cars for now as i cant afford Toks presently and this is my first time, but pls is it advisable to buy cars frm all these online sites like Jiji, Olx etc ?

Secondly, some of the cars selling for like 150k, 200k etc on those sites, can one consider them to be good cars? Though mere checking some of the pictures some are eyes catchy and are looking very neat but I knw one can't use that to judge or who knows where one can get to buy offline Abi does those dealers selling Toks also sells Nigerian used too ?

Thirdly, pls what are the very important and necessary things to look out for in a car when making purchase so as not to buy problems? Thanks in anticipation of your matured and sincere responses.

If you don't mind, you can venture into Uber/Taxify business, instead of leaving the car at home. It will fetch you extra cash you know.

Well let me say something. I bought my camry in February and have been having cold feet driving it cos am just a beginner. But when I saw my pregnant sister inlaw who is about my age driving the same type of car with total ease, I vex jump into mine and started driving, short distances at first and mastery of reverse movement. I can say now that driving is fun. I dnt take the car to work cos of parking space but I jump into it every weekend and am loving it.

During last December i travelled with my Rav 4 2001 to osun state, on my way back it it was not selecting gear as usual i stopped to check . but everything looks fine.After travelling for some kilometers i noticed the car overheating. i stopped an allowed to cool down. To cut the long story short the gasket was burnt. i took it to the mechanic for gasket replacement and some other work which they did, but i was surprised it does no,t go to idle state again after starting. we discover that the ECM was burnt, which i later changed. The mechanic said the only option is to change the engine cylinder. Now with all what have spent the car is still over heating . PLEASE ANY ADVICE WILL BE APPRECIATED IN SOLVING THIS PROBLEM

I just got a Lexus es330. After the oil and filter changing, I noticed the car is shaking a little and whenever I start the car after like 12hours of not using it, the check engine light blinks and stay ON afterwards. Please anyone with similar experience and how to sort it. I intend to scan the car soon.
