THEORETICALLY, Governor El-rufai is right. The North has the highest natural resources more than any other region and has the biggest land size. Nigerian Regions by Natural Resources South East ◆Abia: Gold, Lead/Zinc, Limestone, Oil/Gas & Salt ◆Anambra: Clay, Glass-Sand, Gypsium, Iron-ore, Lead/Zinc, Lignite, Limestone, Phosphate & Salt ◆Ebonyi: Gold, Lead/Zinc & Salt ◆Enugu: Coal, Lead/Zinc & Limestone ◆Imo: Gypsium, Lead/Zinc, Lignite, Limestone, Marcasite, Oil/Gas, Phosphate & Salt South West ◆Ekiti: Feldspar, Granite, Kaolin, Syenite & Tatium Lagos: Oil/Gas, Bitumen, Clay & Glass-sand ◆Ogun: Bitumen, Clay, Feldspar, Gemstone, Kaolin, Limestone & Phosphate ◆Ondo: Bitumen, Clay, Coal, Dimension Stones, Feldspar, Gemstone, Glass-Sand, Granite, Gypsium, Kaolin, Limestone & Oil/Gas ◆Osun: Columbite, Gold, Granite, Talc, Tantalite & Tourmaline ◆Oyo: Aqua Marine, Cassiterite, Clay, Dolomite, Gemstone, Gold, Kaolin, Marble, Silimonite, Talc & Tantalite SouthSouth ◆Akwa Ibom: Clay, Lead/Zinc, Lignite, Limestone, Oil/Gas, Salt & Uranium ◆Bayelsa: Clay, Gypsium, Lead/Zinc, Lignite, Limestone, Maganese, Oil/Gas & Uranium ◆Cross River: Barite, Lead/Zinc, Lignite, Limestone, Manganese, Oil/Gas, Salt & Uranium ◆Delta: Clay, Glass-sand, Gypsium, Iron-ore, Kaolin, Lignite, Marble & Oil/Gas ◆Edo: Bitumen, Clay Dolomite, Phosphate, Glass-sand, Gold, Gypsium,Iron-ore, Lignite, Limestone, Marble & Oil/Gas ◆Rivers: Clay, Glass-Sand, Lignite, Marble & Oil/Gas North ◆Abuja: Cassiterite, Clay, Dolomite, Gold, Lead/Zinc, Marble & Tantalite ◆Adamawa: Bentonite, Gypsium, Kaolin & Magnesite ◆Bauchi: Gold, Cassiterite (tine ore), Columbite, Gypsium, Wolfram, Coal, Limestone, Lignite, Iron-ore & Clay ◆Benue: Barite, Clay, Coal, Gemstone, Gypsium, Iron-Ore, Lead/Zinc, Limestone, Marble & Salt ◆Borno: Bentonite, Clay, Diatomite, Gypsium, Hydro-carbon, Kaolin & Limestone ◆Gombe: Gemstone & Gypsium ◆Jigawa: Butyles ◆Kaduna: Amethyst, Aqua Marine, Asbestos, Clay, Flosper, Gemstone, Gold, Graphite, Kaolin, Hyanite, Mica, Rock Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Sihnite, Superntinite, Tentalime, Topaz & Tourmaline ◆Kano: Gassiterite, Copper, Gemstone, Glass-sand, Lead/Zinc, Pyrochinre & Tantalite ◆Katsina: Kaolin, Marble & Salt ◆Kebbi: Gold ◆Kogi: Cole, Dolomite, Feldspar, Gypsium, Iron-ore, Kaolin, Marble, Talc & Tantalite ◆Kwara: Cassiterite, Columbite, Feldspar, Gold, Iron-ore, Marble, Mica & Tantalite ◆Nasarawa: Amethyst (Topaz Garnet), Barytex, Barite, Cassirite, Chalcopyrite, Clay, Columbite, Coking Coal, Dolomite/Marble, Feldspar, Galena, Iron-ore, Limstone, Mica, Salt, Sapphire, Talc, Tantalite, Tourmaline Quartz & Zireon ◆Niger: Gold, Lead/Zinc & Talc ◆Plateau: Barite, Bauxite, Betonite, Bismuth, Cassiterite, Clay, Coal, Emeral, Fluoride, Gemstone, Granite, Iron-ore, Kaolin,Lead/Zinc, Marble, Molybdenite, Phrochlore, Salt, Tantalite/Columbite, Tin & Wolfram ◆Sokoto: Clay, Flakes, Gold, Granite, Gypsium, Kaolin, Laterite, Limestone, Phosphate, Potash, Silica Sand & Salt ◆Taraba: Lead/Zinc ◆Yobe: Soda Ash & Tintomite ◆Zamfara: Coal, Cotton & Gold As you can see, the North has the highest natural resources, followed by SouthSouth, SouthWest, and the South East has the least. So in theory, the North wins. In practicality, the SouthSouth wins because of its huge oil and gas deposits. Futuristically, the North wins because oil and gas will soon be obsolete. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Delusion of grandeur. The North that has had the most turn at power and its corridors, with all the concessions that imply, are still the most uneducated, the most diseased, the most poverty ridden, the most violent. Every regression to the mean Nigeria has witnessed that has turned it worse than conditions in even war torn countries occur in the North. The North is a blight on Nigeria, and indeed on the world. Gideon Orkar laid the framework that must be studied and implemented. 3 Likes |

El-rufai! El-rufai!! El-rufai!!! I had to call your name three times as that's one best way to call a hypocritical person. So because election is less than a month now that's why you're now suddenly for restructuring after you headed the APC's restructuring committee that made a mockery of the very committee you chaired? What a man, what a party, what a docility!!! 3 Likes |

Agree with elrufai. The northern nigeria has a very big land mass for agric even though they need fertilizer for improvement , it can be achieved by imploring imveators to invest in agriculture. The southern nigeria has crude oil in that they can explore. Now the struggle will be between yoruba and ibo. 2 Likes |
