temitayoolu: Yeah, they do have an agency helping me with the relocation process I spoke to them already and it does look fine but the earlier I can get out of the country the better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I am potentially looking at traveling to Accra to get this done. They seem to have appointments for February. |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by temitayoolu(m): 9:57pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
therealclown: My advice don't try accra except you are have residence there and except most of your documents are from accra. Else it would make it extremely delayed because there would be three country involved in this process now. Nigeria - Ghana - Germany 1 Like |

Mehn Bro you have to really calm down and if you have a job here in Naija hold on to it until the day you get your visa you can just resign. I am in your situation or should better say was in your situation, I needed to leave in a month but it took me 2 months before I got an appointment (mainly because I didn't know what time to check for appointment) then eventually went for my interview in November and till now I'm yet to get my visa. Once you go for your interview just pray and hope to be lucky as you may get your visa within 2 weeks or longer, so let your employers know it may take longer time. therealclown: 2 Likes |

Sam8850: Thanks man. What is the average wait time for the visa ? 2 weeks or 6 weeks ? > mainly because I didn't know what time to check for appointment What time do you recommend? I just check it like once an hour ( maybe every 2 hours). |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by jacob05(m): 1:18am On Jan 18, 2019 |
Sam8850:Did you present an approval letter from Employment Agency? |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Sam8850: 1:34am On Jan 18, 2019 |
The embassy gives a 90days duration for processing, I've only been waiting for 60days. So to be fair it's still within their speculated time but my eager mine is shouting and asking why it's taking this long considering I got a pre-approval a month before my interview date. The best time of the day to check is midnight, at exactly 12:00 am you should enter the captcha code and click next, you'd see an appointment date however you will only get for March or even April right now. You may also take time during the day to check at exactly every hour as I've seen appointment by 3:00 pm before and you are most likely to see a closer date during the day. therealclown: |

No, my employers were the ones who filed my documents at the Alien Office for the pre-approval request and that was sent to Lagos Consulate. jacob05: |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by jacob05(m): 1:48am On Jan 18, 2019 |
Sam8850: hmmm... And you confirmed the Lagos Consulate got it? |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Sam8850: 1:59am On Jan 18, 2019 |
Well, unfortunately, there was no way to confirm if Lagos Consulate got it but I believe they did (emails deliver), I got a mail & file number when that was done and I presented that during my interview. jacob05: |

Please I really need someone to help me or tell me what to do ! I am Daniel and I am from Abia state and I live here in Lagos state ! I have a fiancé, who is a German woman ! We met online and we talked and get to know more about each other and finally she came 2017 October and we spent 2 months together but we didn't get married due to at of that time she was filling for divorce papers!! She wanted to help me with a visiting visa and I applied but due to I haven't traveled before, I got rejected!! I believe that's the reason and I was very sad and I went to an agent who told me that he can secure a France visa for me (schengen) and I can use it to in France and from there I can find my root to Germany by train and I said Good because I was desperate and wanted to leave with my woman !! But unfortunately it was rejected also due to is not up to 2 weeks I left from German embassy! So I have been struggling with my visa process ever since and my fiancé now told me that we can marry in Germany, that I should write the A1 examinations (prufüng) which I did and I passed it !! I have give her the certificate, my school certificate, birth certificate, bachelor certificate, two photocopies of my international passport which must be issued by the court that its original!! She's about to summit it to there registry ( Standesamt) .. I am very worried because I haven't seen anyone who left Nigeria just like that to fly to another man's country to marry because I don't think is possible due to the record Nigeria has !! Secondly, she is older than me I am 29 years and she is 64years old and age doesn't matter to me but the person inside of you , that's all that matters most !! So they might the age difference between us and start thinking negatively!! So please please please, I need assistance or is it possible that I can go to Germany and marry her after my 6months verification 1 Like 2 Shares |

Ajereh01: Hmmmmm....I don't mean to be rude or mean but you sound desperate and that might be a huge hindrance to achieving what you want. Sometimes you have to buy yourself in the shoes of the person reviewing your visa. Once they catch a sense of desperation then it's unlikely your application will be successful. I think your marriage process will be a whole less cumbersome if your fiancee comes to Nigeria to marry you. It would be a lot easier for you to do statutory marriage here than in Germany. All the best bro |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by temitayoolu(m): 8:59am On Jan 18, 2019 |
Triumphantglory already said my mind. I am not the consular and I don't give out Visa but I think your chances might be slim and now that they already have your data you need to be careful of your next move and don't complicate things further. It's easier to get married in Nigeria sha. My advice since you genuinely love her why not marry her here and impregnate her. Perhaps that might help since it shows your marriage and love is really genuine. Triumphantglory: |

Ladies and gentle men in the house, long time! Please I am in dire need of information as regards some documents and they are: 1.Where and how much can I get my certificate(s) translated in German language? 2. how can i get police clearance certificate which must not be older than 3 months at the start of a training? 3. Also, which recognised hospital can i get a medical certificate which must not be older than 3 months at the start of a training in Germany? Please treat with utmost regard. Thanks |

Ajereh01: That should bother you and it will bother the embassy because visa is involved here and not necessarily love. Let's be honest here without getting emotional, this woman is almost 40yrs older than you and you want us to believe that it doesn't matter? That it's all about love? In your 29yrs of existence have you ever fallen in love with a 64yrs old Nigerian woman living in Nigeria and desperately wanted to marry her? If this is truly love as you said then let her come to Nigeria to marry you and settle in Nigeria. The embassy definitely knows what is at stake here. I know this is not what you want to hear but I have to say it. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Ajereh01: Hi Daniel. From experience I can tell that getting married in Germany can work. But the process alone involves first the local marriage registry in Germany plus the German embassy Lagos to verify your identity. Later after the result of the embassy Comes out, the documents must be send to higher court in Germany and after that they can schedule a marriage date. Then you will receive the Visa. I have seen cases where the process took 1-2 years and not always succeeded. Frankly speaking I recommend getting married in Nigeria. 1 Like |

So looks like they changed the process of the visa application. There is no "calendar" and/or "date-picker" now.
