jamejanev:They suppose block u from these forum. You are just bringing different things together. Who told you that Benin is mighty than Yoruba or Oba of Benin is great than Ooni. In the committee of traditional rulers in Nigeria, what is the position of Oba of Benin. Saltan of Sokoto, Ooni of Ife and Obi of Onitsha. Follow by Emir of Kano before we will be mentioning the likes of Oba of Benin and others. Ure just saying nonsense. |

Moneywomen17:the document doesn't say Lagos belongs to the Yoruba, it is a document which is focussed on the Yoruba speaking people ! It seems you guys need brain transplant. I can also write adocument about Indians living in England, it doesn't mean England is part of India ! |

Moneywomen17:type Gallica on nairaland, Your colonial governor says:"this territorial wedge is devided between Ewe speaking people (dahomians) and Yoruba speaking people". He doesn't even say the territorial wedge belongs to Yoruba ! And again, you will have to tell me what he refers to as territorial wedge. He doesn't talk about the monarchy in place neither. What appears clear to me is your delusion and desperation. |

prolog2:I think u are an illiterate or just acting dumb. The document said and I quote “the population of the Yoruba has been estimated as 3,000,000; it’s area may be viewed as from 25000 to 30000 square mile or the size of Holland and Belgium together of which 1069 sqare mile compose the colony and protectorate of Lagos.” What’s not clear about this statement to u. 1 Like

The colonial governor doesn't even recognize the "Yoruba speaking people" as an actual ethnic group, but just as a set of various people who just so happen to speak a certain language. And as he says he wants to focus his article on them. Now let me write an article on Vulcan speaking people in new York, I guess that means New York belongs to the Vulkans |

Moneywomen17:post all the maps, I posted all the maps I found back then including this one even though I knew that since there is a little part of it which identifies jebu, people like you would try to twist it to their advantage. So be honest and also post the maps which clearly show what I am saying. I hate talking to dishonest trolls. |

Moneywomen17: Lagos was a tributary to Benin. The Yoruba diverged from the Bini. Doesn't mean they are any lesser to the Bini though. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
