Which means u believe in God's existence. Now if God exists, he would certainly want us to know he does exist and he would want us to know what we shld do and not do. Abi?

@Bolded: Just because I called God Incompetent doesn't mean I believe in his existence. I call Spider-Man responsible, has that now validated his existence?

If God truly exists, and he is omnibenevolent and omnipotent, then yes, he would want us to know what to do.

Freewill or not, it's irrelevant to an Omniscient being who knows the end from the beginning. If God knew his creation would sin and fall short, he could've made it such that they weren't capable of sinning.

Also, why would God need to test anybody if he already knows what their actions would be?
since God has a free will, he gave them free will when he created them in his own image, he wanted them to serve him by choice and not by instinct

Is it that God had "no choice" than to give freewill despite knowing the end of it?

So let's see how God shows us wat to do and weda he exists?
Firstly, God has 3 outstanding qualities: love, wisdom and justice. If we have come to know these qualities, then it would be easy to tell is really God extends his omniscient powers to our freewill.
Since we now understand that God has to peer (or actively look into) our future actions, in order to tell if we would do wrong or right, let's see a book a history that tells us much about God. Isaiah 48:17 says: "This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel:“I, Jehovah, am your God,The One teaching you to benefit yourself,The One guiding you in the way you should walk".
This scripture tell us who God is to mankind. That he alone has the ability to decide for us what is right or wrong. Would that mean that he is dictatorial? No. Why no? Verse 18 of Isaiah 48 says thus: "If only you would pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river And your righteousness like the waves of the sea".
Take note of "if". Which means we are free to decide weda or not to accept his guidance.
Would he punish us severely for not accepting his guidance? If he would, how would he do it?
Firstly, he doesn't choose to peer into weda we wld choose good or bad. That is why he says "if". What proof supports this?
If he would peer into the future of our actions are we still agents of freewill? No this is because we would no longer be free to exercise our will or choices. He would be invading into our privacy if he decides to peer into weda we would obey him or not.
Again, wat would he stand to gain if he peers into weda we would act right or wrong?
Let's see an event that showed that he doesn't peer into our choices to do right or wrong. Would u mind?

RELIGION is CONFUSION
Christianity dosent answer so many questions
Fallacy upon fallacy
Contradiction upon contradiction
Verses crashing into them selves
And the same bible says all the word of God is pure and true

So let's see wat the omniscient nature of God means.
we must first answer the question of freewill.
When God made man, he gave him the right to choose between right and wrong: Genesis 2:16,17. In fact, based on verse 17, man knew exactly the consequences of acting wrong. How far does this freewill stretch according to God's will? To answer that question, we have to first examine our everyday life.
When ur mother tells u not to make friends with boys, do u have the choice to obey or disobey? Let's get this first.
Is ur mother omniscient
Does she know whether u will obey or not??

still doesn't negate the ability of God to know his choices before hand. And for one who supposedly has good intention for the universe, creating the devil was a deliberate diick move

I definitely believe in living right and doing good to my neighbours. Most people believe in this, but the details of what exactly it means to live right and to do good are where we might disagree.

I appreciate ur honesty. So despite ur freewill, u trusted her to guide ur steps. So let's see how wat God does with our freewill. Since Isaiah 46:10 tells us that God can foretell the future, would that mean that God would peer into our future to see if we would be obedient or disobedient ppl? Without going into semantics, to say God CAN foretell the future, certainly means that God has to actually peer into our future because that would certainly be the way to know wat our actions would be. Does God d that? Let's see wat the bible says. Should we?
Dude I hope that esq u attached to ur name isn't what I'm thinking,u argument is just so weak I wonder how u would win a case for someone
This stuff is very simple when u make it practical

Let's assume ur son is drunk and wants to drive,u know that he would likely have an accident if he drives in that condition, would you still allow him to drive especially if you can easily prevent him not to

The problem is that ur argument is inductive, being a Christian u are of the opinion that Yahweh can never be wrong,so even when it is very clear that something recorded in the bible has certain problems u would rather choose illogical routes to circumvent those problems and justify it than accept that it is ridiculous

Pleas be honest to urself in answering this question I would ask
If you were in Yahweh's position would you go ahead to create the devil knowing fully well that he would use the "free will" u would give it to ruin ur creation ?

U are not even making any sense...so u are saying God cannot see into our future because he chooses not to.

What kind of mind game is he really playing with himself?

Yet, he'd rather get angry at outcomes of events and build hell to punish offenders. Instead of lookin into the future and fine tuning it into a more desirable world.

So the moment he put the tree of good and evil in the garden, he turned off his ability to see mans fuckup. He instantly didn't know man will fall, so he excitedly waited for the outcome. Pervert!

He must be playing naija(hevean)bet with the Angels to see if man will fall or not.

So u know God can switch of he omniscient button at will... Tell me more, which part of the body is this bottom located, it's just a mind thing for God?

You have asked a valid question but your question is meant your fellow Atheist and generally men who are not steeped in religion.

This thread makes me to remember an incident that happened when I came newly to this section. Seun opened a thread questioning how the four gospel books was different. Because I was strong when it comes to the Bible, I refused to see his points. I was furious because I know he can easily sway those who are not strong in God. I'll repeat logic works for those who are not steeped in religion.

Looking back, one of the reason that I refused to see the point raised was simply because I've experienced God. And there are people in the Bible who have experience a little of what I have experienced. So it was easier to close my eyes to the flaws.

All I will say is God's bigger than the Bible or any book of man. Who God is to us is a product of our life journey.

Whether you are an Atheist or not, we'll at one point in our life question our belief. And we'll at one point finally come to the conclusion that there things bigger than us and it is unexplainable.

The only thing opposing God from proving himself is humanity. Humans are all evil because all die someday and end up with filthy rotten corpses. The battle is Good vs evil. The obvious winner is Good and that is already known. Therefore Good God is already omnipotent and omniscient. He can wipe away sin and revive humanity, but humanity can only refuse. You can’t expect anything good from humanity. Once God has successfully vanquished evil, all will be sure of his omniscient and omnipotent power.

You should most definitely not love your neighbour as yourself. Jesus was wrong. Here is a better idea:
Love yourself most.
Followed by your children and your spouse.
Then other family members and close friends.
Then all other people you know.
Then all other people who are alive.
And finally, animals that are not pests.

The word 'Omniscient' simply means the ability to know everything.if god is all knowing, why did he create lucifer knowing fully well that he will rebel against his master and try to take heaven for himself, which will result in lucifer getting cast unto the earth unleashing unimaginable pain and suffering.

Cc XxSabrinaxX,CAPSLOCKED,frosbel2,seun

The Bible gives the impression that God isn't omniscient going by some of his actions and reactions e.g. regretting that he made man, killing almost all humans alive with a world-wide deluge, etc.
